Inspiring Conversations with Faith Pearl Autumn of Fetchville & Faith Fleeks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Pearl Autumn

Hi Faith, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Faith Pearl Autumn, a full-time entrepreneur, boutique owner, braider, and content creator. My journey began at 19, over the past seven years, I’ve gained invaluable experience in managing a business and connecting with women.

I started braiding hair to fund my college education after an unexpected scholarship was mistakenly awarded to me and later taken away in 2017. This experience ignited my passion for entrepreneurship, and I was determined to graduate debt-free while attending school.

After graduating in 2020, I searched for the perfect storefront for a creative space, but COVID-19 led to a shutdown. Despite the challenges, I decided to open the studio during the shutdown. Throughout my journey, I explored various avenues, including event planning, photography, and creative directing. While I enjoyed photography, I craved a venture that allowed me to express myself more authentically. Combining my passions for planning events, dressing up, doing hair, and traveling felt more aligned with my vision. I created a space where I could do what I love while helping others look, feel, and be their best.

In December 2021, I transformed my growing photography studio into Fetchville, a chic boutique in Mount Healthy, Cincinnati. At Fetchville, we provide a unique selection of clothing and 100% human hair extensions, all within a safe space where women can express themselves and pursue their dreams unapologetically.

Today, Fetchville has become a thriving community hub for women to experience glamour, style, and connection. I’m proud of what we’ve built and hope to inspire others to embrace their passions, just as I have. You can find more about our journey and offerings at fetchvilleboutique.com!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! This journey has had its ups and downs. While I’m grateful for my accomplishments and the incredible people I’ve met along the way, entrepreneurship can often feel lonely. Many paths I’ve taken have been uncharted, requiring me to navigate without guidance. Although resources have sometimes felt limited, I’ve learned to carve out my own path and set a standard.

One personal struggle I faced was dealing with rejection. It can be tough. Not everyone is comfortable hearing “no” repeatedly, and it’s easy to feel discouraged. However, staying true to my vision helps me move forward despite setbacks.

Making decisions alone can be challenging, and it’s natural to question whether I’m on the right track. Yet, my faith has guided me this far, reminding me that growth comes from learning as I go. Sometimes, it can feel lonely, and I wish for others to lean on during the journey. However, I’ve learned that some challenges are meant for me to navigate independently. It’s essential to connect with like-minded people to find what works best for me.

As a minority-owned business, accessing resources can be particularly challenging. While information is available, it’s not always easy to obtain or qualify for what you need. As you grow your business, it’s up to you to seek out those resources and leverage them to your advantage. Sometimes, it requires extra effort to secure the support necessary for success, but it is possible.

It’s essential to be passionate about whatever you set out to do; otherwise, burnout can easily occur, and sometimes you may not recover from it. Staying true to your goals and mission will help keep you motivated and moving forward. Running multiple businesses isn’t easy, but it’s a passion I envision pursuing for years to come.

We’ve been impressed with Fetchville & Faith Fleeks, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy are the simple joys in life. I love traveling, new experiences, and meeting people. Spending time in nature, enjoying sunny days, and sharing laughter with family and friends brings me immense joy. Dancing is my favorite form of expression, and being creative makes me feel free and alive. Music, especially R&B, resonates deeply with me, and attending concerts is a highlight; the energy is incredible. Rod Wave and Jhené Aiko are among my favorite artists—their emotional storytelling truly speaks to me!

Lastly, I find happiness in my livelihood! I love waking up to create the life I desire while inspiring others to do the same.
