Today we’d like to introduce you to Virgie Sargent

Hi Virgie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
ViVi Esthetics formerly known as Boujee Brows. A seasoned beauty brand starting as a brow artist turned makeup artist & licensed esthetician, with a passion for enhancing natural beauty. Founded in 2018 rebranded in 2023 as ViVi Esthetics by Virgie Sargent. Located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We specialize in makeup, brows and skincare.

I got started right before I had my last child, I wanted freedom to spend endless time with my family and I didn’t want to be controlled by a 9-5 respectfully. I was obsessively thinking about what I could do to start my own business. I prayed about it tirelessly and then a light bulb went off. I started my brow company Boujee Brows Inc in April of 2018. People were approaching me trying to book makeup but I hadn’t tapped into that service yet. Soon enough September of 2019 I started doing makeup! My best friend the owner of Annetta’s Beauty Bar asked me to be the official makeup artist in the salon and of course that became my first business home. I Worked through the start of COVID even through the salon shutdown. They opened the salons back up and that summer of 2020 I left my corporate job took a leap of faith and took on entrepreneurship 24/7!
Since my establishment, I have done over 15 weddings, hosted several classes, traveled across country to clients, a number of private events and photoshoots. We have served over 1500 customers/clients and have consistently received positive feedback for our brow and makeup services – excellent customer service, and high-quality products.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an easy road but it will be all worth it. One struggle in the black owned small entrepreneurial community is gaining capital so I can invest in the necessary basic infrastructure like equipment, tools marketing and inventory. Another struggle has been how to market the right target audience considering this new social media content era.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed professional makeup artist, esthetician and permanent makeup artist aka tattoo brows aka pmu artist. I do makeup, brows, facials and hair removal like waxing, tweezing and razor hair removal I am known best for my natural glam makeup and brows. What sets me apart from others is my flawless makeup and perfect brows. I’ve been studying and getting better at my craft since I started. I’ve grown so much in this industry learning different techniques and elevating to new levels is never ending for me.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years I will be a med spa owner and a registered nurse. My goal is to be a cosmetic nurse and tap into my esthetician skills on an elevated level.
