Today we’d like to introduce you to Catherine Sinclair

Hi Catherine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Be Well Collective was created by two physicians who wanted a multi-specialty center with a very “un-hospital-like” feel. They created concierge medical practices and brought like-minded professionals with whom they could collaborate into the same space – physical therapists, occupational and speech therapists, lactation consultants, mental health providers, dieticians, massage therapists and other health professionals. Services are provided in comfortable offices with a large, welcoming waiting space complete with snacks and drinks. The concept has been very appealing to families of all makes and the space is thriving!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The beginning was a little rocky in that lots of renovations were needed on the building and since this was a totally new concept it was difficult to explain to others. Thankfully, a few folks were willing to trust us and within a few months, the idea caught on and providers were asking us to join!

The Be Well Collective is a group of individually owned businesses (women-owned, black-owned, and LGBTQIA+-owned) providing full service medical care for all members of the family in a warm and inviting space. We are a collection of physicians, therapists (physical, occupational, speech, massage, mental health, music), dieticians, lactation consultants, doulas and other health professionals working together to make healthcare safe and evidence-based yet ensure patients are heard, held, and supported through their journeys. We are known for providing a warm, welcoming, and inviting space that feels more like a home than office and offering medical care in an environment that supports your family’s needs. Most of our providers left big hospital corporations to offer a different level of service and care for our patients. At the Be Well Collective, you will find medical providers for babies, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
We are SO VERY lucky to even exist. We took a huge risk stepping away from the traditional model of healthcare and are so thankful and lucky that we were not the only ones feeling the need for difference and that patients flocked to us in droves! We pinch ourselves daily because sometimes it doesn’t feel real.
