Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlyn Molette

Hi Caitlyn , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Caitlyn Molette, a passionate 26 year old content creator. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. My parents were in the military which gave my siblings & I the opportunity to travel and experience new things in life. I’ve always loved the Beauty Industry and I grew up watching all of the beauty gurus on YouTube which inspired me to become a Content Creator. To help further my knowledge in the beauty community, I knew that I wanted to become an Advanced Esthetician. I graduated from Aveda Fredric’s Institute and now I’m working in a spa located downtown in Cincinnati. My goal is to help empower women to embrace who they are by doing the things that they love. I plan to keep evolving my skills and open my own spa in the next few years.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being that there were many challenges, I knew that I couldn’t give up on dreams. I’ve struggled with trying to find what career path I wanted to pursue before becoming an Esthetician. Originally, I was studying to be a Marine Biologist because of my passion & love I have for marine life. I attended, Bowling Green State University to help further my studies then tragedy struck when COVID-19 hit. During the lock down, I had more clarity about what career path I wanted to choose. I found myself dabbling more in beauty by practicing makeup on myself, creating YouTube videos dedicated to self-care & art. Then, I stumbled across an article on one of my favorite beauty gurus and she mentioned that she’s an Esthetician and how it changed her life. I was inspired to start my own journey within the beauty community to better further my career. Now, I’m a licensed Advanced Esthetician and part-time Content Creator.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Being an Advanced Esthetician has open doors for many opportunities. I specialize in facials, waxing, massages, makeup and more! I’m known, for creating captivating content on social media. I create content around beauty, fashion & lifestyle. What makes me unique is that embracing my individuality and redefining beauty is essential because combating the narrow standards imposed by society and media.

Recognizing that beauty is subjective allows us to celebrate diverse features and characteristics that make each person unique. By promoting self-acceptance and confidence, I can shift the focus from conforming to unrealistic ideals to appreciating the inherent beauty in our differences, fostering a more inclusive and positive view of what it means to be beautiful.

What’s next?
In the future, I plan on opening a private practice, developing a skincare line, or becoming an influencer in the beauty industry with unique opportunities that cater to different strengths and aspirations. Having a private practice allows for personalized client interactions and the ability to showcase expertise in skincare treatments, while creating a skincare line that offers the chance to innovate products and establish a brand presence.

I’m planning to become an influencer that leverages social media’s reach, enabling me to share knowledge, build a community, and collaborate with brands. Ultimately, the choice depends on my passion, resources, and vision for my career in the beauty industry.
