Meet Wes Mena of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wes Mena

Hi Wes, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, I am of Dominican descent raised in McDonough, Ga. Back in my high school days I wrestled and played football. I was very successful at wrestling and ended up being a two sport scholarship athlete. I ended up playing football at Virginia Union University, which is a D-2 school in Richmond, Virginia. Coming out of college, I was always the biggest person around my peers One day I saw a friend that was a bodyguard to a certain celebrity rapper. I figured he’s just as big as me. Maybe that’s something I’d love to dab into. He took me under his wing and showed me the ropes and the things I needed to get certified armed through the state. I gained the knowledge and experience as time went on, I was able to be on tour, travel, and work state to state. I was able to network and meet new people so I can build my own clientele. Clients started to acquire about my services, So I decided to take the next steps by Reaching higher goals and leveling up in the Bodyguard/Executive protection field that I was in. So I opened up my own business called RM protection services.. As time went on, I realize that the entertainment industry that I was in was becoming a little hostile so I decided to make my own lane and deal with only athletes. As of today, I have over 30 NFL clients and one NBA client currently. Thanks to a couple friends that I started out with that was in the NFL. They was able to link me with their teammates and close friends that were able to make it to the NFL.. My company is number one in NFL body protection in the south region of the United States..

Now hungry for more! I was presented an opportunity to become on Dana White’s Power Slap season 3 road to the title as a heavyweight. Being able to fly to Las Vegas meet Dana White and train at the UFC performance Institute. I gained great experience and knowledge on the newest sport in the US market named Power Slap. Power Slap has over 7 billion views all over social media. It’s a life-changing opportunity and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. I can’t go too much into detail about the season as it is currently being aired every Wednesday at 9 PM Eastern on the Rumble app.

My story has infinite chapters and has yet to be finished. I’m Grateful of the opportunities that have been presented to me, but first and foremost, I would love to thank the Lord for putting me in these positions because I never gave up. As long as you can put your mind into something and be consistent, you will be successful in anything that you do so never give up!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggles that I endured along the way were you can’t please everybody in the profession that you do, you just have to put your best foot forward and try your best and be professional as possible. Being in the Bodygard business, it is very dangerous and you have to be able to think on your feet and be in scenarios that most people would fold under pressure in. Your client is paying for your services to protect them in any type of situations so you have to be aware of all your surroundings and be on point because anything can happen.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Being that I specialize in NFL Bodyguard protection since my company is number one in the south, I take very good pride in that people trust me with their life and I’m a protector by nature. I’ve worked with some of the best athletes in the world, and they always come back to me because the type of quality service I provide. I’m very proud that I have a team of individuals that are close to me so when I have big clients, I can provide jobs for my other guys on my team and I’m just very grateful and happy that I’m able to provide jobs for those guys. …

What separates me is my quality of work. I have years of experience and Provide Black Truck service To any and every person that acquires about certain services that I provide. My team has over 30 to 40 years of experience in combination and we take our job very seriously we don’t slack we provide high-quality service work.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m a very big risk taker, I like to go in uncharted territories, that’s where I feel I’m at my best. Again, that’s part of being great and separating yourself from other people.. That’s why people that are very successful and Have a little craziness inside of them, because they’re willing to take risks and put themselves out there. In order to become successful You have to try new things just like me being on Dana Whites Power Slap.
