Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Vayna.
Hi Bianca, It’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us. To start, could you share some of your backstory with our readers?
In my late 20s, I discovered my passion for the hair industry while working as a receptionist at a high-end Beverly Hills salon. The incredible work I saw on celebrities, executives, and socialites inspired me to pursue an apprenticeship through the State Board of Cosmetology. I trained at Maurice Azoulay Salon at The Beverly Hills Hotel and later worked in prestigious salons in the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area for over a decade. I also served as a corporate Educator for L’Oreal Professionnel, a transformative learning experience. Eventually, I made the decision to move back to Ohio to be closer to family. I quickly built a successful clientele in Cincinnati and started my own salon, bringing my expertise and experiences from Beverly Hills to the heart of Ohio. It’s a journey that has come full circle, and I’m excited to share it with you.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth road? It’s all relative. As a small business owner, it’s all you. So, it can be easy to second-guess yourself and have doubts. But if you can keep a level head, stay calm, and listen, you can stay on track. It is essential to stay energized and to take time to recharge. However, that works for you.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My specialization lies in color, particularly beachy, sun-kissed looks and balayage highlights, as well as classic, timeless, chic styles and colors. What truly sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to professionalism, my meticulous attention to detail and color, and my belief in a ‘less is more ‘approach to beauty. Everyone deserves great hair, and it’s my mission to ensure that you have a relaxing, enjoyable experience and leave my salon feeling wonderful about your hair. Your satisfaction and comfort are my top priorities.
What matters most to you? Why?
As a salon owner, my commitment to reducing waste is valuable. I’ve partnered with GLO- Green Life Organization, a private recycling company, to recycle materials like foils, cotton, gloves, color tubes, and even hair used in agriculture to protect seedlings. We also recycle plastic bottles, cardboard, and aluminum. Our shampoo basins use eco-heads to minimize water consumption and remove impurities. We work with sustainable companies for our retail products and color lines, ensuring they perform and are gentle on the skin, scalp, and hair while reducing our carbon footprint. This commitment to environmental sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
