Today we’d like to introduce you to Paisley-Paige Gibson
Hi Paisley-Paige, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi ! I’m an actress, Singer-songwriter, dancer and model! I grew up in a musical family. I have a close relationship with Jesus and accepted him into my heart at a young age resulting in me knowing my calling at a young age and having a strong foundation. I got started when I was 3, getting my first headshots done. I always told my mom I wanted to be a pop star and a “modeler” hahah yup a modeler. I knew that he had called me in the industry to be myself and spread his love and light in a dark world. I Booked my first cover and spread in mind wear magazine in the Minnesota market, which was so different being multi-racial they were not sure how to market me just yet, they didn’t start doing multiracial families in advertising until the last couple years. It was mainly Black, White, or Hispanic so you could say I helped blaze the trail hehe! I focused on grade school while continuing to peruse modeling, acting and singing on the side. We moved to fl when I turned 12 years old. I took tv production and began writing little skits and started learning and doing some videography with my dad. Once I graduated I was able to pursue my career full time in a larger market and went straight into the industry. After highschool I started off in the Miami market running to castings daily i began to find my groove and gain traction. Not before getting turned down by multiple agencies for being a an inch too short (their loss haha) I Found the best agent for me and began booking, then found out I would be moving to nashville for music! Under a publishing deal! My whole family sings and song-writes together and we moved to nashville together, I am so grateful for them they are such a constant support in an industry that is very sporadic! I continued my career in nashville learning the new market and acquiring new agents. Then expanded into Ohio, KY, Carolina’s, ATL etc. I released my first single I wrote as well called “Sunbleeds”. I am working on music in collaboration with my family band Da Funky Vadican. I love taking dance classes and continue to dance through out this budding life of mine, my tea bag said it best “ life is best focusing on your goals and dancing through all other distractions “ haha I love creating and I am very excited for what’s to come, I hope you all follow along. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Right before 2020 I was blessed to sing with Dolly Parton in a commercial and it was a dream come true, I also was beginning to expand into the nyc market with large clients lined up and then everything came to a hault with COVID. I was able to re-evaluate, take a breather, and trust in God to take me through a different time. Knowing it was not time to move and tn was where I was meant to be for the time. I had to pick up some part time jobs in the meantime and am happy to say I had my family and Gods guidance through it . I now am doing acting and modeling and singing full time and I love it , I’m currently on the road for a large commercial you’ll be seeing on a screen near you hehe! I have learned to trust God through each wave and remember that calm seas never make for a good sailor. Working through finding the right agents and hard working kind souls to collaborate with, all while staying my loving and strong self through an industry that is cold and difficult to navigate! Learning how to seperate bussiness and personal, as well as knowing when to move on, so God could open new doors has been a major key in my life . Even when I didn’t know where or when those doors would open, you step out anyway, that’s faith. You believe before you receive. Always staying grateful, as I like to say “Gratitude equals latitude” ! For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have a single out called ‘Sunbleeds’ available wherever you stream music, with more to come! I love fitness and you will see this combined into my work from fitness campaigns to being a trainer on Carrie underwood’s fit52 x Calia app ! I’ve worked on projects such as Nashville the tv show alongside Hayden Panettiere, just wrapped a principle role on the movie A Mothers Love in which I got to play the breathe of fresh air between all the suspense, getting to portray the true me, a strong woman of faith who is about bussiness hehe ! A supporting role in the movie Collection alongside Alex Pettyfer and Mike Vogel, as well as Sash in the short film blue lines, with a few more in the pipeline I can’t speak on yet! As well as numerous campaigns for brands such as Pediasure, Chick-fil-a, Royal Caribbean, Pantene, Febreeze, Sport Clips, Ohio Lottery, Edible Arrangements, PGA Tour x Mrytle Beach tourism, Tristar health, Apple, MBC media, Under armour, Fruit Of The Loom, Vanity Fair, and more. I also am working on new music as my own artist “Paisley-Paige” in collaboration with my Family Band “Da Funky Vadican” check us out everywhere you stream music!
