Exploring Life & Business with Meagan Connley of Presence With Love

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Connley.

Meagan Connley

Hi Meagan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My current business and offerings through Presence With Love very much feel like sacred, soul work. And it has been a journey to allow the unfolding of it.

I worked in corporate for 12 years, and the last 5 years of that time I knew that it wasn’t quite a fit. As I was moving through my own physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational healing, I was uncovering more of my whole, authentic self. I started taking different trainings and certification programs, eventually starting my own business, and experimented for a long time with how I would bring all of these modalities together and support others. It continues to be an evolution as I shed more of what is not aligned and connect with more of my truth.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been a lot of highs and lows along this journey, and they all feel necessary to teaching me exactly what I needed.

The way that I left the corporate world wasn’t exactly how I would have planned it. I was told I could no longer work part-time, and I knew my soul did not align with full-time, so I was told I was ‘quitting’ by not accepting a full-time position. In my mind, I wasn’t ready for going all-in on my business, yet it felt like the universe had other plans for me. So I leaned in to the fear, anger, grief, confusion, and unknown, felt my way through, and stayed true to following the path of my soul work.

Figuring out new things every day like websites, marketing, systems, processes, etc. is complex and can be challenging. Yet, the most tender and vulnerable times are when I move through heavy emotions and fears, like feeling scarcity, competition, self-doubt, loneliness. These are real, human experiences of being in the unknown, and I hadn’t really heard other entrepreneurs talking about this part of the process.

As a somatic guide, I have been asked to embody my own medicine and teachings through living this experience. I know and trust that my struggles are ways I grow my capacity to find presence with myself and with others.

We’ve been impressed with Presence With Love, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a trauma-informed Integrative Somatic Coach + Enneagram Facilitator based in the greater Cincinnati area who supports individuals on the path of remembering their wholeness. In this work, I serve as a gentle mirror and provide a safe space for allowing your full self to be seen, heard, and felt through one-on-one, couples, and group offerings.

In being present with you, I leverage my professional background, multiple certifications, and lived experience of healing and growth work to allow for discovering a deeper truth together. In addition to an MBA and 12 years of corporate analytics and consulting experience, I have over 200 hours of Enneagram training through IEA accredited programs, and am also certified in Somatic Trauma Therapy (offering a lens of Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems and other somatic modalities), Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead curriculum, PSYCH-K®, Yin Yoga, Breathwork, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and am currently moving through the three year Somatic Experiencing certification program.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Something I continue to learn and that has served me through this journey is the idea of surrender.

I believe that the divine is leading me on this path, holding me and guiding me. If I can allow that, the process feels more easeful. It doesn’t mean that hard things don’t happen and that life overall is ‘easy’, it means that I can experience more peace in my heart and my body when I remember that everything is here for me, not happening to me.

Surrender helps me remember I am not alone. It means that there is always support around me, and that I am also here to support others. It means we are all connected, and that love is all around.

Surrender means I need to feel safe in my nervous system to accept, be with, and meet what is. It doesn’t mean submission or giving up, it means not resisting, avoiding, denying, numbing. Surrender means I show up with love instead of fear.
