Life & Work with Jayden Price

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayden Price.

Jayden Price

Hi Jayden, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I honestly don’t know where to start, but I’m from a small town in Ohio, where there isn’t much going on. Not many people that I know from Mansfield are creative. Being from a small town, you don’t see much, so you leave or do what everyone else does. I didn’t see anyone being creative, so I got the idea to venture out and be innovative and create things that I thought were cool. It was not until I moved away that I saw that I could take my art to the next level.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. There’s been ups and downs, good and bad, but it all means something. There have been multiple times I have thought about quitting and doing something completely different, but then I remember why I started doing it in the first place. I never wanted to be like everyone else; I wanted to do my own thing, something I had never seen growing up. Whatever you are doing, the process is the best part of the journey. Nothing comes overnight; it takes trial and error and those moments where you have to sit and think, “Why am I doing this?” to appreciate your journey.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a creative curator, a jack of all trades. I know everyone says that, but my portfolio speaks for itself. I am a filmmaker, photographer, producer, and designer. The people who know me know me for being a producer. I have my hands on a lot of projects in and around the city of Columbus. Many people would be amazed by some of the projects to which my name is attached. I don’t speak on it much. I’ve never felt the need to. I genuinely love what I do and don’t care about recognition. Everything my name is attached to now will positively impact what I do in the next ten years. What sets me apart from others is that I’m probably the youngest person in the rooms I’m in. Being a producer on some of the most significant projects, parties, films, etc., and only being 21 is pretty impressive.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like the most about Columbus is that it’s growing and has a lot of potential to grow and be one of those cities people want to be in. Many creatives and talented people are here, and I want to see everyone win. I don’t think there’s anything that I don’t like Columbus. I wish it were bigger and had more to do, but I’m here to give people something to do and create spaces they want to be in.
