Check Out Steven Solomon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Solomon.

Hi Steven, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. 
Well, it all started back in high school. We had a photography class in high school that I wanted to join, but I wanted to venture out on my own to see what it was like. I picked up a camera. My first camera was a Cannon T3 with the best camera that I could afford. At that point in time, it’s just starting from there. I’ve been doing photography for about 10 and a 1/2 years. I just really want to take it somewhere so I can pass it down to my child. So, she’ll have a legacy after I leave. I also like to tell stories and my photos. I am always looking to improve myself as a person and a photographer. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest obstacle in challenges that I face is being consistent and finding something that motivates you to go out and just shoot now. You don’t have to have anything to motivate you to go and shoot. You just have to pick up your camera and go. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
There isn’t really anything that I specialize in. I just like to go out and take pictures tell a story with your photos. 

What do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is knowing that my customer is happy. As well, when I take that perfect photo that blows my mind.
