Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Bailey.
Hi Carly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Looking back to where I started and seeing where I am today is just a testament to how God calls each of us to a specific purpose and mission in life. It is through my real estate career that I realized God had given me a servant’s heart. The joy I experience and the sense of accomplishment that I feel when helping others is the greatest blessing. I have been so privileged to help over 300 families buy, sell, and/or invest in real estate. I have met so many people throughout my career and have created many long-lasting relationships. My clients become my friends, and some even feel like family now! I am so grateful for all the opportunities God has given me and for every single relationship I’ve made over the past 12 years in real estate.
Before getting into real estate full-time in 2012, I was pursuing a career in law enforcement. I started the process of becoming an Akron police officer. They put a hold on hiring that was supposed to be temporary. During that time, I went back to school at U of A and started working at a small boutique real estate brokerage as an admin. I ended up getting my license in 2010 and went full-time in 2012.
Over the next 12 years, I got married, had 3 children, Keegan (10), Kellen (8), and Kolbie (3), and built my real estate business. Balancing work and family was very challenging. I set some high goals and achieved them, but did not feel like a success because I was not fully present for my kids. I hired a coach and restructured my business and what success looks like for me. I wanted a career where God came first, then Family, then business. Once I established what was important to me, I was able to run a business where I was present for my family and clients and showed up in a meaningful way.
My career in real estate has helped me to serve in a way that is truly impactful. I love getting to be a part of one of the biggest decisions a client will ever make! Being a realtor also gives me the flexibility I need to be a present mom while raising my three children.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
If anyone in real estate tells you it’s been a smooth road, then they are lying. There have been so many obstacles to overcome. Balancing family and work, market conditions, change of technology, and continuing education while being a woman and head of household.
We’ve been impressed with Carly Bailey-Mission-Driven Mom and Realtor, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Full-time Realtor and Mompreneur. I help clients buy, sell, and invest in real estate.
MOTHERHOOD IS MY GREATEST PURPOSE IN LIFE
MY THREE CHILDREN ARE MY REASON
I’m a mother before I’m anything else. Since becoming a mother, I have found so much love, so much purpose, and so much intention.
My real estate career allows me to be there for my children in a way that is meaningful to me. I get to actively participate in their classroom activities, their sporting events and cook them nutritious meals daily.
Having my children has allowed me to form a deep relationship with God and to raise them as followers of Jesus. I pray with them and for them often. I know having this rooted faith and bond will serve them throughout their lives.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I’m a mother, REALTOR®, Christ Follower, and Fitness Expert
I have more than 12 years of experience in the real estate industry. I apply the same values to my business as I live by in my everyday life as a working mom. Whether you’re a client, a friend, sitting next to me in church, or in one of my kickboxing classes, my commitment to others can be felt.
What matters most to you? Why?
My faith and family.
AS A CHRISTIAN, MY FAITH IS IMPORTANT TO ME AND MY FAMILY
WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER
When it comes to our day-to-day lives, we know how important it is to involve God in our decisions. Whether we are praying together, volunteering our time to local causes and those in need, or simply attending church, we are a family who knows how important it is to be disciplined about religion.
As a faith-driven entrepreneur and realtor, I find it very important to apply these same principles both personally and professionally.
I believe in:
Operating with the utmost integrity
Representing my clients fairly and without bias
Educating my buyers and sellers in a way that helps them make the best decision for them and their family
Researching and offering creative solutions to help my clients buy or sell their home
