Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Frere.
Hi Elizabeth, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in Perrysburg, Ohio, I have spent the last 20 years in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating from The Ohio State University, I spent 13 years inspiring high school students to cook, design clothes, and explore career ambitions – by teaching Family and Consumer Science Classes. I quit teaching in 2020 when I had my son, Benson Fitzgerald. Followed by my daughter in 2022, Genevieve Rose. Being a stay-at-home mom has been the highlight of my life so far!
After picking up my first Nikon in 2015, my introverted personality has exploded by capturing moments and
memories. In 2017, I upgraded my camera and switched to Canon. And finally went mirrorless in 2023. Now, my camera sits on my kitchen counter to capture every moment of growing family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I took the leap of faith to be a stay-at-home mom and try to supplement a margin of my income through photography. God has provided more than I could have ever imagined. I truly believe he has blessed my business and my skills of creating and capturing memories of so many families. He deserves all of the credit.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in photography families – especially children. I love candid photos that are filled with laughter, love, and genuine emotion. Kids grow up so fast, and I think it’s important to capture every stage.
Extended family shoots hold a special place in my heart. It important to me to provide families with picture that will last a lifetime- and sometimes life if cut too short. So having pictures with aunts, uncles, grandparents are vitally important.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
