Hi Neri, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Everything started back on 2020 when I got tired of working 14 years on the medical field for someone else’s dream and decided to open my first business in Florida. Sabor, a Miel LLC, means Taste like Honey. I bought a CNC machine and created business logos & signs on wood & acrylic. On 2021, I wanted something bigger, so I decided to open a trucking business. I also teach many clients to open their trucking business help them dispatch their trucks. Teach how to start growth your transportation business. It been really rewarding. I definitely enjoy it! This year 2023, I decided that while having the trucking business, it would be a great idea to open a mechanic shop where I can serve not only trucks but also cars, SUVs & trailers. Samiel Tires & Auto Repair Only been open six months, but I’m really happy about the great clients that I have met and the great community of Canton. It takes a lot of dedication, hard work, tears to fulfill your dreams, but I assure you it’s worth it. I can’t wait to meet other women entrepreneurs and share great ideas & support each other’s. It only been a year since I moved from Florida. I’m thankful that you share my story. What I want to project is that it doesn’t matter where you come from, your background, your struggles don’t let them interfere with your dreams. Everything is possible if you put the effort, dedication & passion. It’s not going to happen overnight, but the reward will come. Work hard on your dreams and let the success speak for itself. Don’t compare yourself to others because there is plenty of blessings for all of us.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There been many challenges & obstacles, but one of the major ones is being a woman owner on a business that is considered “only for men.” I want to break all the stereotypes. Other challenge is the language. Learning English been difficult, but since I move from my beautiful island of Puerto Rico, I demonstrated to myself that I can accomplish anything I wanted.
