Community Highlights: Meet Samantha Randall of Sundae

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Randall.

Hi Samantha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
I am a vegan and animal rights activist. I’ve been vegan a little over 30 years. I love birthdays, so when I was never able to find a cake for my birthday, I created what wasn’t there. Enter, Sundae. Sundae is a gourmet vegan bakery and ice cream truck. I donate 15% of all my sales to local no-kill animal Shelters, oceanic conservation, animal sanctuaries, and reforestation. Plus, so much more. I never want anyone to feel left out. Everyone deserves access to plant-based deliciousness, all the while saving animals in need. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Any small business owner will tell you the journey may be rocky at times, but when you get to your destination, it’s magical. No words could ever truly describe the feeling. 

We’ve been impressed with Sundae, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sundae is for everyone! 

Our desserts are plant-based vegan with gluten-free options. Our ice cream is vegan, gluten-free, and top 8 allergen-free. I believe that food is love, and it has the power to make a difference. Part of our mission is letting the world know that together we can always make a difference. I am also a children’s book author. The star is Charlie Ryan. My love and light. My baby boy. He’s a 6-year-old golden retriever, and he is a star! He lets kids know how to be kind, how to help the planet, and most importantly to love everyone. We are known for our sexually explicit advertising if you will. Sundae is an extension of who I am as a person. A baker, chef, author, fashion designer, law professional, mom to Charlie Ryan, and vegan animal rights activist. We offer our ice cream truck to be rented out. Which is amazing for parties! 

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am ambidextrous and can simultaneously right backwards at the same time with both hands. My signature is also backwards. I love Disney. I am a marathon runner. I run a marathon Every year.
