Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Freeman.
Hi Brittany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
While attending The Ohio State University, I was on the search for a job outside of the food industry. I reached out to my hometown agent Eric Snider and secured a part-time position. Over the next year, I learned all about the office operations, setting appointments, and building rapport with customers. This sparked my passion for a job in the insurance industry. After graduating from OSU, I interviewed for a full-time position with an agent who was just 15 months into his operations. Joining this new office gave me the opportunity to see the entrepreneurship skills that it took to launch a new State Farm agency in a community. After 8 years under the amazing management of agent Jonathan Yu, I decided to take my next steps to paving my own path. After passing the evaluations, modules, and interview panel with State Farm, I was granted the opportunity to take over for the retiring agent in Marysville, Ohio. The chance to operate my own business, the chance to make an impact, and the chance to become the best version of myself both personally and professionally.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to success in life is not often a smooth one. The trials along the way though are the ones that I believe shape our character. Attending college while being a mom, struggling to pass the entrance exams for the insurance industry, and relocating my family were all hurdles to the success of my business today. Although not a smooth road, I truly believe that each bump has been worth it to get to where I am today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At my office, we love to help families find the right insurance policy to protect their assets but also one that fits their budget. Most people do not realize that putting an insurance policy in place isn’t just something to do because it is required by law or your mortgage company, but it is truly a financial safety net that will be there to catch your family on their worst days. Whether it is providing the funds to fix a car after a crash, a check to help your family rebuild your home after a fire, or the payment of a life insurance benefit so that we can remember our loved ones and grieve versus rushing back to work, WE ARE THERE. What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe that the desire to do better and the grit to not give up are two qualities that have led to my success.
