Rising Stars: Meet Gavin Baker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gavin Baker. 

Hi Gavin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ever since I was nine, I loved making videos on the internet. I loved to entertain and inspire others. Eventually, I moved to Los Angeles and took things extremely serious. After a little more than a year of extremely hard work I got some social media jobs and dropped out of college. This helped me put a lot more time towards YouTube and recently blew up with a video about Ohio! 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been hard having a lot of people I know telling me that it wasn’t possible to make a career off YouTube and at many times I thought so as well. There have been points where I didn’t think it was possible but I just kept trying my hardest and it worked out!

I specialize in YouTube content creation, like mentioned before it is something that I have always loved. I have been on many platforms learning the algorithms so that I can work for other companies and make money that way to help my goal of doing YouTube full-time. My main goal with YouTube is to entertain and inspire others by showing them that you truly can do what you love. 

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I have listened to every podcast with MrBeast or Airrack (two giant YouTubers). For books, there is many such as “The YouTube Algorithm and “Saving the Cat”.
