Community Highlights: Meet Christavus Dominic of CTD Entertainment Management and Radio Free Podcasts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christavus Dominic. 

Hi Christavus, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Started back in 1989 after graduation from St. Vincent St. Mary. I attended The University of Akron, where I was involved in WAUP/WZIP FM 88.1,  The University of Akron radio station. During that time, I participated in managing and promoting local music entertainers, as well as planning the University May Day Festival.  In addition, I was highly involved in promoting especial events both personally and for the University. Post-graduation, with my Communication and Arts Administration Degrees, Over the years, I have participated in helping Non-profits promote and plan special fundraising events. Throughout the years those nonprofits included, a development internship at  The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, The Akron Weed & Seed Strategy, The Boy Scouts of America and small concert productions, etc. 

Currently, I own a small percentage of a ride-share app that is in development. I also have an entertainment management company, record label, and podcast hosting and distribution company. I believe in having various projects going because you really don’t know what will take off.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road!  I struggled with alcohol use for a very long time but overcame it through hard work, prayer, support, and accountability. I also suffered from public racism from individuals in my own community as well as families from previous dating situations. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about CTD Entertainment Management and Radio Free Podcasts?
CTD Entertainment Management sounds like it. We manage creatives in the space of the music industry and podcast development, booking, and artist management. We assist creatives with brand development through managing and guiding the artistic creative. I am known for being a broadcast personality in the Akron area. I believe our DIERSITY sets us apart from other businesses. We are proud to announce working with Ted “The Golden Voice” Williams, Scola Dinero, Wildlife Soundz (Reggae from Cleveland, Ohio) Marvin Ferguson Keynote speaker for healthcare initiatives  and others.

Finally, we offer podcast development and marketing services to help new serious podcasters with an opportunity to grow their brands. 

What’s next?
Future plans include continue development of podcast hosting services and development. CTD Entertainment Management, LLC will be working with the State of Ohio as a provider of Podcast Technology for business.  In addition, we would like to grow the ride-share app and record company. One final highpoint CTD is developing  includes Seek The Welfare of The City Music and Mental Health Festival, which should be launching in 2023. Increase business and speaking engagements for Ted The Golden Voice Williams and other clients.
