What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?

We’ve been working on our publication and platform for almost a decade because we deeply believe that the world will be a far more empathetic and collaborative place if we all had the ability to know each other’s stories. The past decade has brought unimaginable challenges along the way, but we persevere because we believe this is mission worth never giving up on. We often are inspired by the folks we’ve featured and their commitment to their respective missions and so we asked some of them to talk to us about this very topic and have share some responses below.

Rocky Horror with my shadow cast. In late October of 2024, I was selected to be assistnat director. That surprised me completely. Rocky has always been a passion and project of mine I always wanted to build on. It means the world to me that I do a good job so that our group was successful and to get some amazing oppurtunites. I am in the middle of a long term project that I started in 2020 that is by and for Women Around the World and their cultures. It’s my hope that this series will prompt people to look outside their own cultures and where they live. Each work focuses on the clothing, hair style, makeup, performing arts, religion and mythology of the culture. Read more>>
