What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?

We wake up, get work, go back home and rinse and repeat – or at least it feels that way sometimes. In truth, there are a million moments in between where we interact with others and we can’t help but wonder what folks will think about us once we aren’t showing up, perhaps once we are gone. Some very thoughtful members of the community share their thoughts on this with us below.

the story that i want to hope tell people when i am gone is that ‘be inspire and be authentic’. we should be telling chapters and sharing them to the world but definitely create in your way and always give credits to the visionaries that made you step out into the zone of ‘storytelling‘. The story I hope people tell about me when I’m gone is that I lived with intention, faith, and love—and that I made the choice to heal, to grow, and to break cycles so that my children could have a different foundation to build on. I hope the story that people tell about me when I’m gone is that I was a genuinely nice person. A person who loved God and cared for others and wanted the best for others. Read more>>

I hope my daughters say that I was loving, fun, taught them to be strong and showed them that they could be successful while raising families. I hope they say that they saw me fall, but that I always got up and tried again, that I taught them they were allowed to take up space. Read more>>
