Who taught you the most about work?

Society has its myths about where we learn – internships, books, school, etc.  However, in our conversations with some of the most interesting and trailblazing entrepreneurs and creatives we noticed the biggest lessons they learned about work often came from unexpected sources.  We’ve shared some of those responses below.

Matt Kasee

I work in the personal training world. I always have a few early memories that shaped my love of strength training, muscles, and fitness. I was a little nerdy kid who loved comics, cartoons, and pro wrestling, but the real-life example of what drew me to fitness and working hard was my maternal grandfather. Read more>>

My grandparents taught me the most about work. After my father passed away when I was just 11, my mother stepped up and took on the role of both mother and father. It wasn’t easy, but she did it with strength and grace. Read more>>

I’d had to say my Dad taught me the most about work. I was 5 when my Dad had his first heart attack but he absolutely never let us know it was a catastrophic event. He worked hard to get his health back on track quickly so he could provide for us. Read more>>
