Rising Stars: Meet Voni (stylistvoni) of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Voni (stylistvoni).

Hi Voni, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started styling people at 18/19 years old when I started getting out more when I was going to Kent State, which is known as the fashion school. I created my styling page when I was 22 years old finally ready to start getting clients and wanting to see progress after styling my friends. Over the last 8 years I’ve fell into a deep dive of the fashion world; history, and meeting other creatives like myself.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not, I’ve had so many times where I wanted to give up or just had no motivation to create or dress up due to the things that were going on around me. I’ve learned consistency is important

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a wardrobe, event, and virtual stylist. I’m also in the process of creating my own Magazine called “Taste Palette Magazine” for other creatives and artists. As well as creating a cosmetics line called “Taste Palette Cosmetics” a true girly girl!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned consistency is key and putting yourself out there is important. You never know who will say yes, no, or present you with an opportunity of a life time if you don’t expand yourself and your craft.
