Rising Stars: Meet Lil Pit of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lil Pit.

Hi Lil, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I come from a small town… Ashtabula, Ohio. I’ve been writing lyrics for 20 years and only just started releasing music and performing for the last two years. In those short 2.5 years I have done over 200 shows.. mostly in Cleveland but I’ve been to and performed in cities like Atlanta GA, Jacksonville FL, New York City NY, Pittsburgh PA, Erie PA.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never a smooth road chasing a dream being an artist cost a lot of money. It takes a lot of time on the road and away from family. I have an eight year-old daughter who I take care of by myself. So having to travel and be on the road is difficult at times, but knowing my kids and my family are why I’m chasing my dream makes it worth it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m know for being “aggressive” like a pitbull which is how I got the name Lil Pit, however I am an artist in the hip-hop genre at the end of the day as well as a father. I can say I’m most proud of my daughter and how she embraces me chasing my dreams it gives me all the more reason to push her in chasing her dreams. I do this for the culture and to vent not for the fame.
