Rising Stars: Meet Kai Jamison of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kai Jamison.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a kid, I was always expressive—excited, full of energy, always dancing, and loving to film content. I was always down to make anyone laugh.

As I grew up, I started loving to film even more, and I built my YouTube platform, filled with every joyful expression I could find. I filmed for four consistent years, but unfortunately that led to a break.

In December 2024—December 25th, to be exact—I was given my first real photography camera, and that’s when I began my career as a photographer.

I quickly leaned toward street photography, cars, friends, and trips. Over time, I kept perfecting my craft—improving my editing, learning more about camera skills, and building my confidence behind the lens. That journey led me to buy my new/current camera, the Sony a7iii.

Then in 2025, my brother became my first client. After that, new clients started to pour in, and they really loved my work. Soon, I started getting more bookings—locally and out of state. I did proposals, sweet 16s, proms, business picnics, and so much more.

Even though the traveling and new experiences sound fun (because they are), I still find myself falling in love with street photography. It’s truly inspiring to know that wherever you take a picture—what you’re capturing—will always turn into memories on all corners, inside the structure itself, whether the place is known for historical events or not. That’s my bright side of looking at it.

A short path can still lead a long way—I truly believe that, and it’s one of my mottos.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No. Photography is like on of the never ending cycle of leaning, as far as learning to work your camera, lenes, editing on different platforms, visiting different areas that have different lighting sceneries, different customers that I got know and making them feel comfortable during the shoot, expanding my horizon as far as new platforms and videography.

Sometimes equipment weren’t charged so I’d have to improvise.

I specialize in Web Developing, Youtube, Photography, being part entrepreneur.
I am known for photography.
Proud of how far I came throughout all struggles and success.
How blunt I am when it comes to this business, My imagination how I imagine things on how it can turn out or how I envision future projects personal or cliental.
