Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Spears.
Brandy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey began when I turned my personal trials and a 150-pound fitness transformation into a powerful mission to help women step boldly into their purpose. Guided by Faith, Resilience, and the memory of my late Grandfather—who taught me I was meant to inspire the world—I launched The Weight of the Crown podcast and Brandy Speaks to motivate and elevate women through Faith, Fitness, and Leadership.
As an ordained minister, my faith is the anchor of everything I build. Coming from a family of servant leaders, serving others was already deeply rooted in who I am—a calling that naturally led me to found the B’More Non-Profit, dedicated to giving back to the men and women who serve and protect our communities by delivering homemade baked goods on holidays. From navigating my career as a Product Manager in corporate finance to building my own LLC, my life is grounded in family as a proud wife to my husband, Nic, a mother to three beautiful daughters, and a pet mom to our black and white lab.
Today, as a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, moderator, and host, I use honest conversations and actionable tools to equip women to overcome life’s heavy burdens and wear their own crowns with BOLDLY. Step by step, I am living out my calling to show every woman that no matter how heavy her crown feels, she was built to wear it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that growth is never a straight line—it’s been a continuous test of faith, resilience, and evolution through every major shift in my life.
Looking back, one of my absolute biggest hurdles was learning how to balance it all, but deeper than that, it was truly believing and trusting who God said I was and accepting the life He said I deserved. For so long, that meant doing the inner work of healing from past traumas, breaking free from being a people pleaser, and learning how to truly Become HER: Healed, Exalted, and Resilient. I had to step into a version of myself I had never been before to step into the exact woman God called me to be.
Navigating that inner transformation while juggling a high-level corporate career as a Product Manager in finance, launching a business, hosting The Weight of the Crown podcast, leading my Non-Profit, and staying fully present for my family required constant recalibration and intentional boundaries.
Then came confronting imposter syndrome. Stepping into the spotlight as a speaker, launching the podcast, and laying my story bare meant pushing past real fear and self-doubt. On a personal level, my health transformation—losing over 150 pounds—was a massive test of discipline. It took a total mental overhaul, building non-negotiable habits, and showing up for myself every day, whether through 5:00 AM treadmill sessions or two-mile neighborhood walks.
Ultimately, it all came down to trusting God’s promises during seasons of preparation. Real impact doesn’t happen overnight; I had to learn to trust His timing in moments of silence, honor the process, and step boldly into the promise.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Product Manager in corporate finance, Keynote Speaker, workshop facilitator, and the host of The Weight of the Crown podcast. Through my platform, Brandy Speaks, I specialize in empowering women through faith, fitness, and leadership to step boldly into their God-given purpose and “Become HER”—Healed, Exalted, and Resilient.
I am known for my authentic, intimate approach to transformation. Having personally achieved a 150-pound weight loss through daily walking, faith, and discipline, I teach women how to turn everyday habits into sustainable life changes. Beyond my corporate and podcast work, I am the founder of the non-profit B’More, which gives back to community service members through holiday baked goods deliveries.
What I am most proud of is creating space for honest, intimate conversations that motivate women to walk boldly in their unique calling. What sets me apart is the intersection of my background: combining real-world corporate strategy with grounded faith, physical fitness, and raw personal testimony. The crown is heavy, but women were built to wear it.
How do you define success?
Success, to me, is defined as walking boldly in my God-given purpose, living authentically, and empowering other women to do the same
