Meet Torres Agee of Ohio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Torres Agee.

Hi Torres, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started making music when my father died i started to understand music when I turned 6 by 9 I was a jukebox my father and mother both make music and art so it was like first nature but it wasn’t until my childhood family/friend daedae aka jack boys father which is my uncle bam had took me daedae and his cousin another family/friend sway to the studio that I started to become a artist.
I do everything with JackBoy ENERGY

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it has not I been to juvenile detention, prison

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an independent artist and creative from Cleveland, Ohio, building my own identity through music, storytelling, and visual art. My work is centered around the idea of “Stepp or Die” — not just as a slogan, but as a mindset about continuing to move forward, learning from what you’ve been through, and being wise with your energy.

I specialize in turning my experiences, ideas, and surroundings into music and visual concepts. Cleveland is a major part of my identity, and I want my work to feel like it came from somewhere real rather than something manufactured for attention.

I’m most proud of the fact that I’m still creating and pushing my vision even though I’m not coming into this with a huge fan base or a major machine behind me. I’m still building my name, my sound, my visuals, and my audience from the ground up.

What sets me apart is that I don’t really think like somebody trying to copy what’s already working. I’m constantly trying to create my own language, imagery, and world around Top Stepper / Stepp or Die. I have a very specific vision for what I want my brand to represent.

At the same time, I’m still developing. I’m not going to pretend I’ve already “made it.” My biggest challenge is turning the amount of ideas and ambition I have into consistent releases, quality content, and a growing audience. But I think that’s also part of my story. I’m building it while I’m becoming it.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
