Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Ebsch.
Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started TCB Maids with a simple goal: to build a cleaning company that people could truly trust and depend on. What began small has grown over the past four years through hard work, consistency, word of mouth, and the support of our amazing clients and community.
Building a business hasn’t always been easy. There have been long days, setbacks, sacrifices, and plenty of lessons along the way. But my fiancée and I continued to push forward, grow our team, expand our services, and raise the standards for the work we provide. Today, TCB Maids has completed more than 1,000 cleanings and has grown into an established, licensed and insured cleaning company serving homes and businesses throughout the Greater Cleveland area.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that our business has become about more than cleaning. We believe in giving back to the same community that has supported us, whether that means helping families in need, donating supplies, supporting local events, or providing cleaning services to people who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
T.C.B maids is still building, learning, and setting bigger goals. I want TCB Maids to continue creating jobs, expanding our services, and becoming a company that our employees, clients, family, and community can be proud of. What started as an idea has become something much bigger than I imagined, and we all are so excited to see where we go next.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building TCB Maids has come with a lot of challenges, sacrifices, and lessons. One of the biggest struggles has been learning how to grow a business while still maintaining the quality and reputation we worked so hard to build. Finding dependable employees, managing a growing schedule, keeping up with expenses, and wearing multiple hats as a business owner can be overwhelming.
I’ve also had to learn how to balance being a business owner with being a mother and taking care of my family. There have been times when I’ve felt exhausted, discouraged, or wondered if all the sacrifices were worth it. Running a service business means dealing with unexpected cancellations, difficult situations, long days, and sometimes having to fix problems that weren’t directly my own.
But those struggles have also shaped the company we are today. They taught us all to be more resilient, to set higher standards, and to keep going even when things don’t go according to plan. I’m proud that through the difficult moments, we’ve continued to grow, serve our community, create jobs, and build something that has become much bigger than where we started.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
TCB Maids is a locally owned cleaning company serving the Greater Cleveland area. We specialize in residential and commercial cleaning, deep cleanings, move-in and move-out cleanings, post-construction cleaning, Airbnb and rental turnovers, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and other specialty cleaning services. We’re licensed and insured, and we’ve built our reputation by being willing to take on challenging jobs that other companies may shy away from.
What sets us apart is the level of detail, care, and accountability we bring into every property. We don’t believe cleaning should be a one-size-fits-all service. Every home, business, and client has different needs, so we work hard to provide a service that reflects that. Our goal isn’t simply to make something look clean—it’s to provide a noticeable difference and give our clients confidence in the work they’re paying for.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust and reputation we’ve built. TCB Maids started small and has now completed more than 1,000 cleanings while developing a strong base of repeat clients and community support. Seeing people recommend our company, leave positive reviews, and continue trusting us with their homes and businesses means more to me than any number.
I also want people to know that TCB Maids is about more than cleaning. Community involvement is a major part of who we are. We’ve supported local families, collected donations, contributed to fundraisers and community events, and are working toward sponsoring cleanings for people who genuinely need help but may not be able to afford professional services.
Ultimately, I want TCB Maids to be known as a company that takes care of business and takes care of people. We’re continuing to grow, expand our services, create employment opportunities, and show that a local service business can make a meaningful impact on the community it serves.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always very independent, determined, and strong-willed. I’ve always been the type of person who likes to figure things out for myself, and when I set my mind to something, I have a hard time giving up on it. I was also naturally caring and enjoyed helping people, which is something that has carried over into who I am today.
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial side, even before I realized that was what it was. I liked staying busy, coming up with ideas, and finding ways to make things happen rather than waiting for opportunities to come to me. I’ve also always been creative and enjoyed doing things a little differently.
Looking back, a lot of the qualities I had growing up—being determined, hardworking, outspoken, caring, and sometimes a little stubborn—ended up being exactly the qualities I needed to become a business owner. I’ve grown tremendously over the years, but that drive to build something for myself and help the people around me has always been there.
