Daily Inspiration: Meet Kathryn Houghton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathryn Houghton.

Hi Kathryn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started off sharing my thoughts and photos with others through sheer love of books alone, back in 2019 in Florida. Since then I’ve published two of my own books and working on more, if writers block ever frees me. Fast forward to the present, and I’m sharing local haunts in Columbus, Ohio. When I’m not exploring my city, I’m still avidly talking about books and curating a collection of chats and shoots for the bibliophiles, antique lovers, and eclectics.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing is ever a smooth road. There are obstacles with every journey. My life has been uprooted amongst my stride to create, but it’s also given me incredible courage and motivation. Without challenges, we would not be able to truly appreciate the moments where things go right.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a content creator, author, and a model for small independent brands. I’m most proud of my published works, knowing the emotion that went into them. I think Columbus has no shortage of “influencers,” however I like to think I bring a touch of strangeness to my work that others cannot. I’m not afraid to mix my interests and go against what’s considered the norm.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Follow my socials! You can find me on most platforms @fieldsofliterature. And my books ‘Come To The Lighthouse’ along with ‘The Depth of Waves’ are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
