Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Sinclair Aka Sauce Wayne
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a gospel rapper, preacher, and teacher from Columbus, Ohio. I’ve been performing my entire life, starting in my youth with roles in productions like The Chocolate Nutcracker. In 2017, I began rapping and making music, but it wasn’t until I had an encounter with Christ in 2020 that my direction changed. By 2021, I was creating music for the Lord, and in 2023, I released my hit single “Jesus Is Real,” now streaming on all major platforms.
Growing up in Columbus’ King-Lincoln/Bronzeville area, I was surrounded by the sounds of hip-hop, jazz, blues, and gospel, which shaped my deep connection to faith and music. Inspired by artists like Fred Hammond, John P. Kee, 1K Phew, and icons like James Brown and Kanye West, I’ve crafted a unique sound that merges gospel and hip-hop.
In 2024, I released my debut album *East Side Church Boy* and received the “Bout My Ministry Award” at the Cincinnati Gospel Awards for my contributions to gospel music. Beyond the music, I’m passionate about community outreach, performing at local churches, youth events, and charity functions, and hosting a monthly Gospel Rap Showcase through my ministry, Out the Struggle Ministries. With faith as my foundation, I’m on a mission to inspire and uplift through gospel rap, one verse at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely been an uphill battle, but the joy has been worth it! Before rediscovering my passion and purpose as an entertainer and minister, I had lost my way. After high school, I didn’t feel a strong pull to pursue college or the arts, and I ended up hanging with friends whose lifestyles weren’t aligned with God’s path for me. I got caught up in hustling, unhealthy relationships, and chasing a life that felt exciting but ultimately left me empty.
It wasn’t until I had a powerful encounter with Jesus that everything began to shift. He reminded me that He had a plan for my life, and it was time to let go of the destructive choices I was making. At first, I struggled to fully commit, but eventually, I surrendered my life to Christ. From that point on, I’ve dedicated myself to living for God and inspiring others with my story and my music. Now, I’m blessed to be reaching people in ways I never imagined.

I specialize in creating high-energy, Bible-based music that inspires and uplifts. I’m known for blending powerful lyricism with a distinct sound that merges gospel and hip-hop. My work is rooted in my faith, and I use my platform to spread messages of hope, redemption, and love.
One of my proudest achievements is my latest album, *East Side Church Boy*. It was a project that God and I were unknowingly working on throughout the year. I spent months creating new music, studying, and deepening my relationship with God. Towards the end of 2024, my team and I realized we had something special that needed to be shared with the world. Featuring my hit single “Jesus Is Real,” this album represents my journey of faith and transformation, and it’s streaming on all major platforms now.
What sets me apart is my unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life through my music and ministry. I’m deeply committed to using my talents to inspire others and serve my community, whether it’s through performances, outreach events, or hosting Gospel Rap Showcases. My sound, my message, and my passion for bringing people closer to God make my work truly stand out.
