Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Hudson.

Hi Christopher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’d describe myself as a professional visual artist, but I’m more than someone who paints. I’m a storyteller, a visionary, and a builder of worlds through color, texture, and emotion.

My work is rooted in expression, perspective, culture, and the belief that reality isn’t simply something we experience—it’s something we help create.

At this stage, I’m not chasing the title of being an artist. I’ve earned that through the years, the work, the collectors, and the experiences. Now I’m focused on expanding the vision, reaching new audiences, and building something that lasts beyond the canvas.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to this point has been a true test of faith, resilience, and will. Over the past 11 years, I’ve faced personal challenges, learned the intricacies of the trade, and discovered that my creativity and business mind must work in sync. Developing a unique style and identity through Ivory Canvas has required both artistic vision and entrepreneurial discipline.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is an extension of how I see the world. I’m a visual artist who specializes in creating expressive, contemporary pieces that combine color, texture, symbolism, and emotion. I don’t like being boxed into one medium or one look because my art is constantly evolving. Every piece is an opportunity to experiment, challenge perception, and turn an idea into something tangible.

Over the past 11 years, I’ve built Ivory Canvas into more than a name—it’s become an identity. I’ve sold hundreds of paintings, created pieces for artists and collectors, and built a reputation through my work and my consistency. I’m known for putting a lot of myself into each piece. You can see the movement, the imperfections, the layers, and the intention. I want people to feel something before they even understand what they’re looking at.

What I’m most proud of is the fact that I built this from my own vision. There wasn’t a blueprint for my style or my journey. I had to create both. I’ve learned how to be an artist and an entrepreneur at the same time, and that combination has shaped the way I approach my work.

What sets me apart is that I’m not interested in simply making something that looks good on a wall. I want the work to have a presence. I want someone to stop, look twice, and create their own interpretation of what they see. My goal is to make art that starts a conversation—and to keep evolving enough that people can recognize the artist without me having to put my name on the canvas.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’m naturally curious, so I’m always looking for something that can make me better—not just as an artist, but as a person. I read a lot about history and science because I enjoy understanding where things came from, how things work, and how ideas evolve. I’m also big on health, finances, and personal growth. I tend to read whatever challenges me or gives me a new perspective.

That mindset carries directly into my art. I believe the more you learn about life, the more you have to express through your work.

I also enjoy watching the Diamond Gym podcast because I admire the mindset behind pushing through difficult situations. That mentality resonates with me. Life is going to test you, and I believe those moments can either break your momentum or become part of what builds you.

For me, creativity isn’t just about making art. It’s about constantly developing the person behind the art. The more I learn, the more I grow—and the more there is for me to put onto the canvas.
