Today we’d like to introduce you to Talleja Hayes.

Hi Talleja, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Talleja Hayes, and the one thing that I’ve always loved to do was travel. I love exploring new places and trying new things, like most people. What set me apart is how organized I have been with my travels. All of my friends and family use me as the go-to person when it comes to planning. I honestly didn’t mind it because I loved the logistics of it all. I decided to really look into being a travel agent and making a difference for more people! And now I love what I do!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It is not a smooth road. It takes a lot of planning and research to even get started. Learning the best platforms to use and even the marketing. Putting yourself out there is probably the hardest part but that’s the only way you will gain business.

We’ve been impressed with Laya Travels , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a travel agent. I specialize in travel planning for all groups and sizes. My business includes my services of finding flights, hotels, rental cars, excursions, restaurants, putting together itineraries, etc… My goal for each year is to coordinate a big group travel each year. This year we are doing a 5 day cruise to Progreso Yucatan, and Cozumel Mexico. This trip includes 2 days in New Orleans before we sail out to Mexico. I have a group of 14 and we are very excited!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My family and friends have been my biggest supporters. They promoted any trips that I have had. They use me to arrange their own travels. They encourage me and it has been a really big help!
