Check Out Fanchon Page’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fanchon Page.

Hi Fanchon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My pageant journey started two decades ago. I competed for the Miss Black Ohio pageant and placed 5th. I learned a lot from that experience and worked the following year on my talent, fundraising and vocals. I went on to win the state title and then became a delegate winner for the Miss Black America system. I became the State Pageant Director in 2001 and have running the pageant since then.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting off was extremely difficult since my only experience was being a contestant. As the Director there were many more responsibilities and challenges that came along. I’ve managed to get a through it by using a model template that was set by the previous Director.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My specialty is Human Resources Management and I am a Senior Talent Advisor at a Fortune 500 company that specializes in technology services for medium and large enterprises.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Making people feel good about themselves and striving to make things better.
