Meet Ana Escalante

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Escalante.

Hi Ana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’m Ana Escalante. Venezuela, I came to the United States five years ago, on November 2017. As an immigrant, I had to endure difficult times, which made me stronger and showed me that adversity always has opportunities. Since I was a child, I always had an interest in art and the crafting world. Creating, painting, and drawing, were always activities that identified me. When I came to this country, I realized how many opportunities I could have to do something that I was passionate about.

It was in May 2018 that I decided to start my Lettering business through social networks, showing my process, and sharing my evolution in art. Over time, I decided to learn and develop more knowledge about different areas of art, to start creating my brand of handmade products. Many people began to identify with me and my work, and thanks to that, in 2019 I began to teach online Lettering, digital art, and painting classes. Today, I have had more than 500 students, with whom I have shared my knowledge and shown them that they can also achieve it.

I am the creator of the Ana Escalante Studio brand, where I design, create, and make possible unique and original, handmade products, like custom phone cases, canvas art, digital printables, keychains, custom dog tags, custom candles, flower pots, and more. Thanks to my brand, I have been able to reach hundreds of homes and people who use my products, and that allows me to fill them with color. With many projects in mind and many others already in process, I just hope I can continue doing what I love in this amazing country.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was not easy, and it’s still not. It has taken me time to learn everything I know and do now. I’ve been frustrated when things do not go as expected. The digital world is complex, and reaching people who know your talent takes time. But I have enjoyed every moment of my process.

I’m specialized in Lettering, Digital Art, design, and painting. I have a brand “Ana Escalante Studio” where I create hand-made products, and where everything can be personalized. I’d know more about my Lettering, and all the workshops I have done.
