Today we’d like to introduce you to Dariel Devora.
Hi Dariel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Growing up I always loved music but it wasn’t until 5 years ago that I made the decision to become a DJ and found my true passion. I started my DJ career with Angelica Promotions back in 2017. Currently, I Dj at some of the top Latin clubs in Cincinnati, Columbus, & Indianapolis.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the hardest things for me as a DJ is not being able to spend much time with family and friends, especially those weekend gatherings that we all love.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Latin DJ from the Dominican Republic who lives in Cincinnati. I am known as DJ DARIEL. One of the things that I am most proud of as a DJ is that In 2019 I won the “Cincinnati Best Latin DJ” award after only 2 years of starting my DJ career. Another accomplishment that I’m super proud of is that this year I became the first Latin DJ to win the “2022 Cincinnati’s Best Club DJ”.
I think one of the things that set me apart from other DJs is the connection that I create with the crowd at every single one of my events and my ability to play music from different cultures and genres.
Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Yes, I will always recommend everyone to have a mentor. Not only as a DJ but in life in general. A mentor is someone that will always help us raise our confidence.
