Rising Stars: Meet Anna Hoff

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Hoff. 

Hi Anna, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
As a little girl, I was always interested in art and seemed to have an artistic lens that I saw things through. 

At some point, I realized that I could wake up every day and do something that I loved and that fulfilled me. 

I specialize in all kinds of photography but really love weddings and business photography! 

My husband and children are my biggest supporters and I would not be where I am without them and the love that drives us. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The market is definitely saturated with the photographers of all different backgrounds and specialties. It’s definitely easy to feel like you get lost in the cracks, but the experience people have with you and Word of mouth are by far the best things for your business. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Using my weddings that I shoot as an example, I want my brides and families to feel like they are spending time with one of their best friends for the day. I strive to make everything less stressful and give clear direction. I want everybody to leave feeling like they had a great experience. You have to get it right on the first shot. Weddings are not something that you can do over. I thrive in high-stress situations, and I hope that I can continue to build relationships from weddings and beyond with my clients and watch their families grow. 

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Family wise what makes me happy is being able to create my schedule around the needs of my family. 

Careerwise I am very fulfilled by brainstorming in my head and bringing that to life. Seeing a finished product on a client’s wall is still an amazing experience to me, and I love it.
