Exploring Life & Business with Davontay Jennings of Bag Vicious Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Davontay Jennings. Them and their team share their story with us below:

At a young age, Davontay discovered his passion for music and entertainment through the show 106 & Park and being very computer savvy. Starting at the age of 8, Davontay gained his entrepreneurial spirit by downloading songs off the internet and on the computer and making mixed CDs and burning them onto a blank disc, and selling them to friends and family. As Davontay grew into his teenage years, he tried starting an R&B girl group and even managed to get them a studio session and record a few songs. At the age of 14, Davontay found his first niche and started to host and promote teenage parties and would work with local artists and have them perform at the events. He would charge other teens to get in and put together street teams at each high school to help promote the parties; he even managed to book a local out-of-state artist to come and perform and put together his own contract and made the artist sign it and printed out real actual flyers and put together many different marketing plans to help promote the event. Throughout his high school and teenage years, Davontay got his first job at 14 years old and has been taking care of himself since then. He always kept a job and aimed for the highest dollar amount and is very hard working and driven. At the age of 17, Davontay took his entrepreneurial spirit and business mindset to the next level by establishing his own Full-Service Entertainment Company “Bag Vicious.” He started off by creating custom-designed streetwear clothing and getting his work to the likes of the Rap Superstar ‘Lil Baby’ and has been dominating ever since with the company’s most recent project success of the “Bag Vicious AK22 Cypher” which is the first project contributing to the Entertainment side of the company. Davontay is now putting all his hard work and dedication towards his Bachelor of Science in Music Business at Full Sail University while working on forming and pushing his upcoming Full-Service Entertainment Company “Bag Vicious” to help create and develop upcoming entertainers’ careers such as artists, athletes, producers, actors, influencer’s, etc. through various projects and platforms. Relaying on things that got Davontay to where he is today is his drive and determination and him always knowing what he wants, and his level of perfection and professionalism is through the roof; once he has an idea in his head, he knows how it wants it to go and look and sound and coordinate all in one and is very big on professionalism and has always been serious about his passion and chasing his dreams. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been lots of struggles along the way with finding myself and going through many setbacks and life events that just puts things on hold and having to restart and get the process flowing again. I had struggles with trying to do so much at a young age with very little resources and growing up and learning to have patience and trying to balance with myself since I am always so advanced. Some struggles along the way with Entrepreneurship that I learned at a very young age along the way was with marketing and what is appropriate to put on party flyers for the high school audience. In relation to the parties, some struggles along the way was making sure that the parties that I threw were a safe environment for my peers to come and have fun. I did everything in my power to do that, and some things worked, but other things were out of my control. Other struggles along the way was dealing with a lot of close family deaths that just really bothered my mental and caused me to lose focus and put things on hold. I also struggled with time management and procrastination which I am working on, and it is getting better by the methods that I am using and the discipline that I am applying to myself. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Bag Vicious Entertainment is an upcoming Full-Service Entertainment company. It includes a talent agency, management, record label, branding, media relations, events, sports agency, and a clothing line. Bag Vicious Entertainment will develop the careers of artists, athletes, actors, producers, influencers, models, and comedians. The company will focus on upcoming underground local talent to build their careers professionally and help grow their brand worldwide and showcase their talent through unique projects and partnerships that will bring in a broader audience and new ventures throughout their careers. I specialize in a lot of things behind the scenes but I am the CEO and founder of this company, and I will specialize in executive producing and creative directing, marketing, directing, promotion, host. I will have my hands and final say so and input about everything that has to do with the company. What I am most known for is my creative direction and marketing and promotion skills and how I am able to draw my audience attention through the various projects that I have done in the past and I am known for always going above and beyond and bringing people together got enjoy one another and have a great time but always staying focused and being hard working and putting business at the forefront. Bag Vicious Entertainment is known for its authenticity and being serious about achieving company’s goals in the best way possible and shining light on the upcoming talent and wanting change lives… What I am most proud of brand-wise is being able to create a company that encourages and motivates others to chase their dreams and do whatever it takes to achieve their dreams and stay true to themselves and bringing entertainers along the way to show that it is possible and letting them showcase their talent in ways that will inspire their audience and fans and change lives. What sets this company apart from others is the mindset of having no limit on the things that can be done and achieved with the various different business ventures within the company and letting it be known that it is a space for everything entertainment and bringing the raw and uncut content, and creative projects and entertainers like never before. What I want the readers to know about my company is that uniqueness and creativity and authenticity, and passion is what drives us to keep going and reach new heights while having confidence and humbleness while doing so. I want it to be known that there is no limit on what Bag Vicious can do and achieve, and we will forever perfect our craft and continue to grow and adapt no matter the level of success that is reached.
