Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrence Harris.
Hi Lawrence, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My story begins with Art and creation alongside my love for food & passion for giving early on as a kid. Inspired by many cooks growing up, my first opportunity working within an actual food truck at an early age of 10 yrs. old was owned by my uncle. This not only ignited my drive as a cook but also as an entrepreneur. My journey as an Artist first led me to understanding exactly what it was that I needed to create, how to structure business appropriately through testing products, and what it was that people really wanted and needed in the journey of life. Long story short, I found that the most intentional thing that I could create with my time, resources, and gifts God has provided was to make love! My first Sun “Maji,” was the beacon of light which sparked this whole Maji Play Foods Idea. I knew I needed to create a solid foundation for my growing family; I knew health was the biggest thing I was battling at the time as well as my family. So, I did what most would do with a fresh batch of lemons; I made lemonade! Maji Play Foods was born!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing good comes easy. The beauty and joy comes from the journey; with that, the struggles embraced ranged from financial lack, 2 near fatal car accidents, trying to create a conduct business while having a 2-year-old and 1-year-old at the same time my wife was overcoming post-partum. Within that post-partum, I fought with my own depression. We faced evictions in midst and lost relatives all while in midst of Covid as just an added bonus to what was happening in the world around us. By grace all needs were supplied, and there was no lack when it came to our environment at the end of the day.

I am a licensed Patient care specialist/budtender @ one of the top Pharmacies in Columbus, Oh. I consult with patients and teach patients about the many different products and benefits of not only Medicinal cannabis, as well as how what we eat, and the care for ourselves also play a huge roll in healing and finding balance. I am known for my knowledge of cannabis and my wisdom in understanding how everything works together with the mind, body, and spirit. I am most proud of having enough experience and education in this field to be able to help many patients that are enjoying this journey or seek to be a part of. What sets me apart from others is my ability bring others together!
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me in reaching a points in my life that are adding to a foundation that is being created not only for my family and myself but for future generations after me. I understand how important generated wealth is and how important it is to create a structure/system that will continue to build and evolve the more it is nurtured. With that, my happiness comes from those that benefit.
