Hidden Gems: Meet Hannah Cruz of Meta Females

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Cruz. 

Hi Hannah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Hannah Cruz, I am a 26-year-old mother of 4, and I have been in business since I was 16. Throughout my life, I have had many business mentors in large industries including my own father and superiors who offered a vast amount of knowledge inspiring me to open my own companies. At the age of 22, I had published my first children’s book, “A life of a Pug,” and I had owned and operated 2 brick-and-mortar clothing boutiques for 4 years in which I had sold to then pursue a profession in the manufacturing and procurement business regarding raw materials, formulation, and production of nutraceuticals and skin care. From there, I continued my climb into earning the title as the VP of Business Development for a company I still work for today regarding all things raw herbal powders, food ingredients, and formulation. Meta Females Inc. was an idea that I had begun to initiate back in 2020. It is much more behind the scenes than its own small cosmetics brand. Meta Females Inc. is an operation that allows other individuals and companies to create their own makeup, skin, hair, and nutraceutical lines to either jump-start a startup or compliment present companies looking to expand their business. I love helping women in business grow and share my knowledge without hesitation in the belief that there is enough competition in the world. I believe that I have a long and exciting road to travel watching from behind the scenes as I help other aspiring entrepreneurs build something new and exciting for their clientele. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. One thing I have learned in business is that you should never get excited about an opportunity until it actually conspires. Even the most “you’ve got it in the bag” situations can be rug pulled in a split second. And when you experience that rug pull without mental preparation, you are then blindsided and are left with a feeling of hopelessness. The best way to do business is to under expect an outcome to avoid disappointing yourself and ending up feeling like you want to give up. Giving up is a huge struggle. No matter what business you are in – it’s an emotional roller coaster.

Meta Females Inc. offers a small boutique of cosmetics. They are niche products and constantly changing. We formulate our products over and over to make them the absolute best at the absolute lowest cost for what you are getting. I firmly believe everyone deserves to have great affordable cosmetics. 

Meta Females Inc. is also the secret service in the beauty industry. We have many clients that we have created custom makeup and skin lines for. This is the backbone of Meta Females Inc. and something that not many people who know us know. We are behind many local and non-local brands/specialty products that have launched. Including but not limited to: hard wax, lip gloss, shadow pallets, lash growth serums, hair growth oil. Etc. 

What does success mean to you?
I define success by the reaction from my clientele. The messages that a particular product helped them correct a skin ailment, gave them more confidence in themselves, or “oh my goodness this formula is amazing! Everyone loves it!” 

You are not many people know how to make their big idea or dream happen, and that is what I live for.
