Meet Zach Dangerfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Dangerfield. 

Hi Zach, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
When it comes to music, I been so wrapped and invested in it ever since the womb. In the beginning, it was Michael Jackson who I was very influenced by. As time went on and my character developed Rap. Reggae, R&B started to resonate with me more such as 2Pac, Bruno Mars, Pop Smoke, Chris Brown, Bob Marley, Still Michael Jackson. It was the impact they left and make that made me also crave that and wanting to leave behind something people could have forever. So, In late 2019, I wrote my first song. Before then, I use to just freestyle and goof around with it, then I realized how much lyricism and Rhythm I truly had. Then in 2020, I recorded my first 4 songs (which are all still up on my SoundCloud), and that first studio experience is one I won’t ever forget. Also, social issues and bringing awareness to real-world problems is something I also cared for, and make sure to involve it in my music and artistic abilities. I feel like the music I release, and the messages I have in them are my form of Activism. One goal I always had in my mind was to be seen as a prominent figure in my community and other minority communities around the world. I want them to understand you can make it and achieve if you believe, and with the Lord by your side; you can’t go wrong. The ultimate goal is to showcase my come up, and I can’t wait to put the Nasty Nati (513) on tha map!!! 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This hasn’t been a straight smooth road, and I don’t expect it to be. There’s been many times I felt the output and effort I was giving didn’t meet the goal I wanted with the impact and results, and I felt like lack of support (as a whole, because there are still tons of people, I know support me no doubt) was gonna make me stop rapping/making music. Then I realized there is someone happy I’m making it, and it is helping someone, so I keep going for that hope there. Also, numerous deaths and personal life issues also play a factor in my road to glory. For instant, In February of this year (2022) I lost my cousin right after I had seen him a day or 2 before. I had dropped my first EP on the 9th of that month and he was gone around the 14th. Our last convo was about him liking the tape and me being next up, so when he passed it just caught me off gaurd. Yet, though the storm, the positive is making my music for him and continuing to give the world my all!!! Long Live JBanks!!! 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m ZThaDon!!! A young aspiring artist from Cincinnati who makes music for all to enjoy. Every song I make, I record with the intention of someone feeling that song very close to their heart until everyone has a favorite song by me. I’m really a people’s person and although at times I can be quiet, I can get along with virtually anyone. Something I’m proud about is how far I’m coming with my music. I’m still fairly new and already building a fan base and some supporters. What sets me apart from others is the dignity, respect, and ambition I have for not just others but myself. I rap for the people, especially for those who look Like me. My end goal is to bring everyone together and wake them up about the evils of the world so they can better arm themselves with the knowledge needed to live. I’ve never been a spoiled person, and when I make it, you can best believe I’m giving back to my family, community, and those around me‼️ 

What’s next?
My plans in the future is to hopefully fix issues such as poverty, homelessness, murders, and other issues in my city- all from me rapping and writing music. I wanna bring everyone together so we can face the real issues. I have huge ambitions, and I’m not afraid to test those who stand in my way and argue for what’s right. If I follow the plans the Lord has for me and for what I know I’m destined for, I simply can’t fail!
