Hi Joshua, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Around 2014 I found a position installing automotive lighting and audio at Cincinnati Home Theater and Car audio and after a few months of working I learned to tint. The window tinter before me gave me some basic lessons and pointers and I hit the ground running. Fast forward to 2022 I slightly stepped back from tinting to focus more on Graphic Design which is what I went to school for. After things in the city shut down for Covid-19 I was eventually let go but thankfully I smoothly transitioned back to window tinting. I quickly started building my own client base and started tinting from my home
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not smooth the learning curve was horribly exhausting time consuming and costly. I burned through window tint and cars both figuratively and literally, and I accidently caught a car floor on fire. Issues with employers underpaid and overworked. Stared in my parent’s garage until I got a loan which I used to rebuild my garage to use.
As you know, we’re big fans of Glass house tint Studio. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We tint cars boats and buildings. Tint headlights and taillights. Interior and exterior lighting. What sets me apart are 2 major things. These 2 things are what I am most proud of brand-wise also. High risk, high reward! I ride motorcycles dirt bikes and snowboard I go big or don’t go at all. I lost my only source of income and used that to start my business. I bet on myself.
