Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Cook.
Hi Joe, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Joe Cook managing partner of Cincinnati Entertainment Group (C.E.G). My whole life I’ve always enjoyed the event industry & showing the best hospitably possible at all my events since hosting & organizing events. A 2010 graduate of Sycamore High School here in Cincinnati where I was a three-sport athlete. After high school, I went off to college on a basketball scholarship to Lindsey Wilson college in Kentucky. After my first season, I transferred to Clark State College in Springfield, Ohio where I continued to play basketball until I graduated college in the spring of 2014. When eventually moving back to Cincinnati in 2015 I jumped into the nightlife industry for a side gig while still taking more college courses & working full time. This side gig soon converted into me hosting my own events at different venues around the Cincinnati/NKY area. After this, I fell in love with organizing events and it no longer was considered a side gig to me it then became a passion. After building up a great network & relationships over the city I finally made the decision to partner up and start our own event entertainment company in 2020 during covid which now is known as (C.E.G) Cincinnati Entertainment Group with Mike Vescio my business partner. Another partner of mine is Nemar Maize a local DJ who is big on our company’s early success also.
Since the launch of our company, we have hosted some great events locally and now we have started expanding to other cities to host big events. Locally by far our top event so far would be known as The Hangar Party at Lunken Airport we hosted where we had 1,500 in attendance & 35 VIP tables from family, friends, local business owners, Bengals players & more. We turned the airplane hangar into an upscale event space to create unforgettable experiences for our guest.
Outside of Cincinnati we now have taken our events to Miami Florida, Daytona Beach & Huntsville Alabama. We have been getting our hands involved with music artist, comedians to put on concerts and comedy shows. Since the launch of our company some big names we have worked with so far is R&B singer Jacquees, Hip-Hop artist Yung Joc, Lil Scrappy & Travis Porter. Country music artist we have worked with so far is country singer Tyler Farr. Comedians we have had an opportunity to work with is Cincinnati’s own Gary Owen, DC Young Fly, Kountry Wayne * Lil Duval.
Our company C.E.G just sponsored one of Jamie Fox artist J Young MDX to go on a 26-city tour with one of the biggest female artist Latto known for her song (Big Energy) which currently was #3 on the country’s top 100 charts. We had a blast on the road!
Most importantly with C.E.G. Our Mission is to provide unique experiences with an exciting atmosphere while bringing the community together. Our Vision is to be a known and respected full-service event company who sets an example of how to provide exceptional energy and service while creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our clients. We specialize in the planning and production of events. We take your vision and make it a reality. What makes our event team exceptional, is the unwavering dedication and genuine enthusiasm for what we do. We have a team of amazing graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to capture the perfect shot too.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road. We have a great team. One thing we have learned is putting on a big scale event or a great event takes time. Be patient, stay focused and keep moving forward. There will be some loses you take or hiccups along the way in the event industry but long as you learn from them it will set you up for a big win moving forward.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
With my role with the company as a managing partner, it’s to look for talent and individuals who are motivated to help build the brand and team with us the right way. I set up the meetings to tour the venues and help make decisions and where to host our next company event and the vision for it.
What I specialize in is networking to make sure we put the right pieces of the puzzle together with our team, venues, artist management teams, and other event companies around the city that’s going to set us up for success.
What I’m most proud of is the early growth of our event company. The vision we had for 2023 is already coming to life here in 2022. What sets me apart from others is my work ethic. Once I’m locked in and focused on something I do everything it takes to help our team win.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Integrity
It’s seriously one of the most important attributes you can cultivate. Honesty is the best policy for everything you do; integrity creates character and defines who you are
