Today we’d like to introduce you to Valynncia. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Valynncia is an independent recording and performing artist & Vintner “wine maker” from Columbus Ohio. She was introduced to music by her father who was a prominent Dj, so at a young age she listened to a lot of Hip Hop and R&B. She grew to develop a love for different genres of music such as Pop, Dancehall, and Afrobeats. It was clear she always knew she wanted to be an artist growing up. When asked as a child, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Her response was always, “an artist.”
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Inconsistency with producers and people in general. I learned how to do make my own beats record mix and master my own music due to some producers I’ve worked with taking a long time to fully mix and master my music. I plan out dates I want projects completed so my expectations are high when it comes to my music and I don’t like having any delays on dates I want to release my singles being an independent artist is definitely difficult when you don’t have a team of people that’s willing to work smart and go as hard as you do
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an independent singer/rapper/songwriter from Columbus Ohio. Outside of music, I brand my own wine. I named 2 of my Dessert wines after my children “Allona Camille” & Kingdom Reign I can honestly say I’m most proud of creating my wine it’s something that I’ve been working on for a long time and it definitely will be past down to my children once I’m gone my goal is to have it in stores worldwide especially overseas. As far as what sets me apart from others is me wanting to see real change in the world a lot of people want to be wealthy and successful for all the wrong reasons my goal is to really help individuals that face adversity. Actively going back and forth to Ghana makes me want to go harder in life it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been the food is great people are nice and genuine and the beaches are amazing Africa is not what the media portrays it to be at all but just as anywhere in the world you have your good and bad side’s there is a lot of children and adults that face poverty the roads are really bad also almost everywhere seeing little children walk up and down these roads in the conditions there in was crazy to me, every day on their freeways I would also see people selling whatever they could to get money for the day, the locals in Ghana are the real hustlers they stand outside from sun up to sun down in Ghana if you don’t own a business or inherited any type of wealth it’s difficult to get a job and even if you do have a job you only get paid once a month towards the end of the month and they don’t pay a lot I’m very passionate about creating a change there because it’s to many people that need help
What matters most to you? Why?
Being extremely successful and wealthy matters the most to me not just to change my family and friends’ life but to create jobs and opportunities for people that face adversity worldwide
