Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Schlabach. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Erica Schlabach is the Owner of Erica’s ATA and Inner Beauty Growth. Erica’s ATA is a nail manufacturing company based in central Ohio that is a family-owned business that specializes in quality manicure and pedicure tools and techniques.

Can you tell us what your company does?
Inner Beauty Growth (IBG) is a sister company of Erica’s ATA that gives its customers the tools and support they need to stop grinding and start THRIVING! IBG is an online platform for beauty professionals providing education, coaching, and community focused on business growth and emotional wellness.

I have been to trade shows, facilitated workshops, and connected with many beauty professionals who are burnout and lack boundaries to last in the industry for the long term. It wasn’t just their hands that were hurting, but their hearts. I knew our industry needed specialized support and connection to others with lived experience to bring the needed healing and growth to make a shift towards a healthy work-life balance. Inner Beauty Growth was born in 2020 with an official launch in September 2021 to do just that.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Where there is change, there are growing pains. Inner Beauty Growth is my heart project, which means a lot of development, change, and then some more change. I have a hard-working, creative, and dynamic team of professionals who are motivated to work towards a growth mindset for the industry. It hasn’t been a smooth road but nothing worth working towards ever is! We are excited about the new opportunities that are coming for our company in the next year. What should we know about Inner Beauty Growth?
Inner Beauty Growth is focused on personal and professional growth and fosters community. Especially after the past two years, my team and I have seen the need to bring all of us together and connect. With social media and the pandemic, we know how isolated and separated as a society we’ve become. IBG is the solution to that problem and brings people together with a growth mindset guiding our company.

We also believe that a company should include specialists and experts on the topics we discuss. We have a certified and licensed Coach that has the background knowledge and experience to develop leaders, grow businesses, and help to actually achieve the goals our customers have.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I have a learning disability and struggled through school and college. Most people would not know it based on my success and although I don’t talk about it often, I like to share this as I believe that anything is possible no matter what. I worked hard to find people who I could trust who had strengths that powered my weaknesses. I am no longer ashamed or defined by my disability. It has helped me to become who I am, and to challenge others to not let anything stand in the way of their dreams and goals.
