Today we’d like to introduce you to Meg Perez.
Hi Meg, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Meg Perez. I lead the Meg Perez Group, a Real Estate Group with Coldwell Banker Realty. I am Licensed to sell properties in both Ohio and Kentucky. I started my Real Estate adventure in Jan 2016 after selling my Athletic Accessories business, Chica Sport, and ending my competitive running career, racing Ultra Marathons. I got into the Real Estate business to help people navigate what can be one of the most stressful times in their lives… Moving. Buying a Home to live in, or an investment property to build wealth is a big deal. And a lot can go wrong. I and Group pride ourselves on being excellent problem solvers, able to work through the most difficult situations with Grace, strategy, and the knowledge and relationships it takes to meet and exceed a client’s goals. We have been very successful. Our business is 95% referral and repeat. That is very high for a realtor or Real Estate Team.
We work with Sellers, Buyers, Investors, and Developers, in both Residential and Commercial properties… Homes, businesses, land, you name it, we do it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing of value is ever obtained easily. In my first year as an Agent, I fought working seven days a week. I thought as a Realtor I could control my schedule and have more control over my time. That is actually not the case. To be a Good Agent, you need to be available or make yourself available, when your client is. This means long days and working seven days a week. If you are not willing to do that, you will not succeed in Real Estate.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I included a lot of this in my previous responses… But to add to it. The Meg Perez Group and myself, as a Licensed realtor, make it our mission to meet or exceed our client’s expectations. Realtors get a bad rap… So, I often go in and have to do a cleanup on aisle 3. meaning I clean up the image of what a realtor is and should be after a client has had a previously bad experience with a bad Agent. I underpromise and overdeliver. I am a straight shooter and do not use smoke and mirrors and fancy sales talk to get a listing or a buyer to work with me. My track record and my Group’s track record speak for themselves. We love to see our clients happy at Closing!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
When choosing a realtor to work with, choose wisely. Ask questions. Find out how much they know about where you want to live, or, if you are selling property, how much they know about the neighborhood or community where your property is located. Knowledge is power! Your Agent should be super knowledgeable about the process AND the neighborhood.
