Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Kostovski.
Hi Kristina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It happened one random night- I was already in the headspace of wanting to create something that brings together spirituality and self-care. Like an instant download, I got the idea that body and face oils would be a great way to help heal others in a holistic way with the addition of healing crystals. I’m passionate about taking natural approaches to things, and with our skin absorbing products so easily, why don’t we absorb the healing benefits of plants and crystals together? Ultimately, my business is energy and I want to be able to bring healing to others. I definitely didn’t have an exact plan going in, so branding-wise and navigating how to put my brand out has been an “as I go” thing. In a way the brands an extension of me, so I want to be authentic with what I post and how I interact with people whether it’s online or in person. So, I am always learning and growing with my business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As mentioned before, I was not very prepped on starting the business. It was such an ‘in the moment’ thing that the complete branding of it all has taken time. I even had a pop-up in the beginning that only close friends ended up showing up to, and it was enough knowing those close to me supported. I’ve done a couple markets that went okay. It can be discouraging when you’re not getting the recognition or constant sales coming in, but that helped me realize the only validation I needed was my own and believing in my business when others may not understand or have interest in it. I believe it’ll reach the right people at the right time. The road has been more so mentally challenging.
As you know, we’re big fans of Kitiiinn Blessings. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is energy. I bring the healing aspects of plant-based ingredients and a spiritual approach to self-care. I create skin and body oils that are crystal-charged and plant-based. I also have a Good Vibe mist that you can use anywhere to uplift the mood or if you can’t use sage/palo santo. Ultimately, I want to create a community for healing and provide a mindful approach to self-care. I love that I’m creating a brand that I am passionate about and bringing authenticity into it. People should love the skin they’re in and give themselves the love they deserve- it all starts with self-love and I want that to be a part of that with my products. I am a reiki healer as well, so when I make my products, I make them with love. It’s so important to bring in healing energy as I create. Also, I intuitively handpick a crystal with all purchases that come in!
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I have learned to focus on the things that really matter. I have taken myself out of environments, people, places, and things that no longer serve me or my highest good moving forward. It has taught me to slow down and be more aware. Also, being kind in times like this goes a long way as we don’t know what others are going through!
