Today we’d like to introduce you to Enas Lanham.
Hi Enas, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From my experience as a mother and an educator, I’ve come to realize how important play is to a child’s mental and emotional development. As the world turns to an age of digital and automation, real, genuine toys are becoming more and more scarce. But the reality is that tablets and computers can never replace good quality toys that are essential to hands on and experiential learning.
I have lived in Dublin, Ohio for many years now and I always thought there was a need for a toy store. When I saw a vacancy among the local shops in Historic Dublin, I took this as an opportunity to give back to the community. I created Dublin Toy Emporium with the vision that children and families could find toys catered to their every need with the help and recommendations of our amazing staff. In addition, I wanted to have a space where we could host community-engaging events such as Kindermusik classes and storytimes that would allow families to connect with each other. Dublin Toy Emporium has come a long way since its opening four years ago, and I’m excited to see how we continue to grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, this has been a pretty smooth road. The hardest part, as I’m sure most businesses have observed, was persevering through COVID. Many customers were no longer able to come into the store which was devastating for a local business and we could no longer host in-person classes. As a solution, we offered curbside pickup and local delivery and were even able to offer some of our classes virtually. Despite COVID, Historic Dublin has grown tremendously with the addition of the new walking bridge and a vast selection of restaurants, and that too has helped us attract visitors from all over.

At Dublin Toy Emporium, my mission is to provide high quality, mind-expanding, safe, and fun toys for all ages. I take great pride in selecting products that enrich child development, such as wooden toys, learning games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and so much more. We are known for our vast selection of unique toys, outstanding customer service, engagement with the community, and don’t forget complementary gift wrapping.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Throughout everything, I have learned that passion above everything else leads to success. This idea has helped me thrive amongst the difficulties such as COVID. If something is important to you, you’ll figure your way through any hardships as long as you hold on to your passion.
