Hidden Gems: Meet Cheryl Bobo of Coldwell Banker Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Bobo.

Hi Cheryl, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Cheryl Bobo and I am a Realtor in the Greater Cincinnati Metro Area. My expertise is in assisting buyers, sellers, and investors.

I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. My family has owned their own businesses and helped others and their communities for years. I grew up knowing that having my own business was a goal. When I started my family, I knew that working the traditional full-time job I had been in, was no longer going to fit. It was time for a change. I wanted to be able to contribute to my household so I started doing some research online. I came across a personality questionnaire based in real estate that helped place you with a company that would suit you best. I submitted my responses, and that same day the broker for one of the companies called me to set up an interview. I found my spot. I started taking the necessary classes to start this new path and within months I was a licensed Realtor. I haven’t looked back since.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
After making the decision to become a real estate agent everything was smooth, from classes to testing to finding my brokerage company. But what you learn in class does not always compute to the real world. It’s the everyday activities of building your business that can feel challenging, as well as continuing to educate yourself on changing market data to stay current. It took sacrifices to get where I am now. Even with my husband’s stable, financially sound job, there were times we struggled with meeting the daily needs of the family. But I always remembered my plans and goals and that’s what keeps me going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I have been Realtor since July, 2012. I have built a reputation and a network of contacts that enable me to provide seasoned knowledge of the housing market. I love my community and the variety styles of homes in the Greater Cincinnati area, which exemplifies my passion to assist future homeowners to find their dream home. I am devoted to serving my client’s needs around the clock. I am renowned among my colleagues and clients alike for my integrity, loyalty, and professionalism.

I am Cincinnati area resident since the 1990s, I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a career in marketing, building an expertise in being able to promote homeownership in underserved communities and exclusive properties alike.

My vision is to make homeownership accessible to everyone. I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their dream of owning a home, which is a major vehicle for building wealth and economic opportunities within their community. I am equally committed to assisting business owners in their pursuit of owning the property their business is leasing.

As a 2020 President Sales Club member, I have been recognized for providing excellent service to all buyers and sellers, and providing the best resources to make the buying and selling process smooth and worry free.

I am ready to show clients listing that fits their unique needs by being mindful of their own style and taste. They can rely on me to help them realize the full potential of their real estate investment while maintaining their privacy in the strictest fashion. I am Committed, competent and ready to collaborate!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Representation is important! I have inspired my own daughters and even their friends to be entrepreneurs. They love seeing me work my business and I have inspired them to live their own dreams without hesitation. I encourage them to make a difference and step outside the box. Children are our future and it’s important to teach them beyond what traditional schools can teach.

I am active parent in her Westwood community, serving on the fundraising board of Dater Montessori since 2016, a member of the International Society of Female Professionals, and a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

As a Realtor, I have absolutely found my path with this profession. I have made lifelong relationships. It’s important that I connect with people I work with to see their vision. I have been able to encourage, inspire, coach and watch my clients make their dreams come true. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for all the people He has put in my path and the doors He has opened.
