Hi Jaize, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
At 16 years old, I was already carrying battles that most people couldn’t see. I felt defeated. Home wasn’t peaceful, school wasn’t easy, and somewhere in the middle of it all, I lost sight of who I was. I spent so much time trying to hide from the world because I didn’t want anyone to see how broken I felt. I was mentally exhausted, navigating my first heartbreak with no guidance, no roadmap, and no one to tell me what the next step should be.

When I didn’t know who I was, God knew exactly who I would become.

In the middle of my pain, God met me. He didn’t erase every obstacle, but He walked me through them. Every heartbreak, every disappointment, every unanswered question became part of my education. I learned through pain. I learned through failure. I learned through the moments that almost broke me.

After graduating high school, I went to college during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like so many others, life didn’t unfold the way I imagined. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to leave college, and for a while, I questioned whether I had failed. Looking back now, I realize that what felt like failure was actually preparation.

Then life changed again.

After dropping out, I was involved in a car accident that forced me to slow down and look inward. It became one of the defining moments of my life. I had spent so many years searching for myself that I hadn’t realized God was shaping me the entire time. That season taught me resilience. It taught me purpose. It introduced me to the person I was becoming—Jaize Savon.

Today, I’m still becoming. Growth doesn’t stop, and I don’t pretend to have everything figured out. But I know who I am now. I know what I stand for, and I know who I refuse to become. My identity is no longer based on heartbreak, rejection, or the opinions of others. It’s rooted in God’s purpose for my life.

That journey inspired me to create Scents by Savon, a fragrance line born from the belief that every season of life leaves a lasting impression. Just as fragrance lingers long after you’ve left the room, our experiences shape us long after the moment has passed.

If my story has taught me anything, it’s this: keep trying until you get it right. Keep searching until you discover who God created you to be. Don’t give up because you feel unseen. The world may overlook you, but God never does. Your pain, your heartbreak, your disappointments, and even your trauma are not wasted. In God’s hands, they become the very things that prepare you for your purpose.

I am living proof that brokenness is not the end of the story. Sometimes, it’s where the story truly begins.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the hardest parts of growing up wasn’t the heartbreak or even the mistakes—it was not knowing who I was. When you’re constantly surviving what’s happening around you, you don’t have much time to discover what’s happening within you.

I found myself asking questions I couldn’t answer. Who am I? Why am I here? What am I supposed to become?

Without guidance, I looked for my identity in other people, in relationships, in success, and in the opinions of those around me. Every disappointment made me question my worth. Every rejection made me wonder if something was wrong with me.

What I didn’t understand then was that confusion isn’t always a sign that you’re lost. Sometimes it’s part of the process of becoming.

For a long time, I believed I had to earn my value.

I compared myself to people who seemed more confident, more successful, or more loved. I thought that if I accomplished enough or became enough, then maybe I’d finally feel worthy.

But no achievement ever filled that emptiness.

The truth is, feeling “not good enough” doesn’t always come from who you are—it often comes from the stories you’ve believed about yourself. When you’ve experienced heartbreak, disappointment, or a lack of guidance, it’s easy to confuse your circumstances with your identity.

I wasn’t inadequate. I was simply carrying wounds that hadn’t healed yet.

God had to teach me that my worth wasn’t something I had to prove. It was something He had already given me.

There were seasons when quitting would have been easier.

Dropping out of college made me feel like I had failed.

The car accident made me question why so many difficult things kept happening.

There were days when I felt invisible, like everyone else was moving forward while I was standing still.

But perseverance isn’t pretending everything is okay.

Perseverance is waking up every day and choosing to keep going when you don’t have all the answers.

It’s choosing faith over fear.

It’s believing that your life still has purpose even when you can’t see it yet.

Looking back, I realize God wasn’t punishing me through those seasons. He was preparing me. Every setback taught me something that comfort never could.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
A lot of people sell perfume.
A lot of people sell wigs.
A lot of people have businesses.

But not everyone has a story that gives those businesses meaning.
Most fragrance brands sell a scent.

I’m selling an experience and a testimony.

My tagline for the first drop of my New Brand, “Where Two Become One,” isn’t just romantic. It reflects my own journey—where the person I was and the person I’m becoming meet. It speaks to healing, intimacy, confidence, and transformation.

People won’t just remember how my fragrance smells.

They’ll remember how it makes them feel.

Luxury isn’t expensive packaging.

Luxury is creating an emotional experience that people can’t forget.

At first glance, it may look like a wig business.

But that’s not ALL it is

Hair has always represented confidence.

For many women, changing their hair isn’t about vanity.

It’s about reclaiming themselves.

It’s about looking in the mirror and finally seeing someone who feels beautiful again.

Without even realizing it, my wig business is also about transformation.

I’m helping women present themselves the way they feel inside—or sometimes helping them rediscover that feeling.
