Hi Jennifer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into the beauty industry started with a simple passion for helping people feel confident. I was always drawn to beauty, but what inspired me most was seeing how even a small service could completely change someone’s confidence and the way they carried themselves. What began as a passion eventually became a business built on creating an experience where clients feel beautiful, cared for, and empowered.

Like many entrepreneurs, my path wasn’t always easy. Building a business required long hours, financial sacrifices, and learning through trial and error. I wore every hat—from service provider and receptionist to marketer, bookkeeper, and business owner. Every challenge taught me something valuable and pushed me to become a stronger entrepreneur.

As my business grew, so did my vision. Jennifique Beauty evolved from offering beauty services into a luxury beauty destination specializing in lashes, brows, skincare, permanent makeup, and wellness. My goal has always been to provide high-quality services in an environment where every client feels welcomed, relaxed, and confident.

Today, I’m focused on continuing that growth by expanding our educational opportunities, mentoring aspiring beauty professionals, and creating a space where both clients and beauty artists can thrive. I believe success isn’t just measured by revenue—it’s measured by the relationships you build, the confidence you inspire, and the opportunities you create for others.

Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I believe this is only the beginning. Every obstacle has strengthened my purpose, and I’m excited to continue growing Jennifique Beauty while making a lasting impact on my clients, my team, and the beauty industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest struggles has been learning that being talented at your craft doesn’t automatically make you a successful business owner. When I first started, I thought providing great services would be enough. I quickly realized I also had to become a marketer, accountant, leader, recruiter, and problem solver. Those were skills I had to learn along the way.

Another challenge has been growing a team. Finding talented professionals is one thing, but finding people who share your work ethic, values, and commitment to clients is much harder. I’ve experienced employees leaving, changes in schedules, and the ups and downs that come with managing people. Those experiences taught me the importance of having clear expectations, strong systems, and hiring people who truly align with the vision of the business.

Like many small business owners, I’ve also faced financial challenges. Every dollar earned often went right back into the business through education, equipment, remodeling, marketing, and creating a better experience for clients. There were times when I had to make difficult decisions and trust that those investments would pay off in the long run.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Jennifique Beauty, we specialize in lash extensions, brows, permanent makeup, skincare, and wellness services. I love creating natural, customized results that enhance each client’s unique features rather than changing who they are. Every service is tailored to the individual because I believe beauty should never be one-size-fits-all.

If you ask my clients what we’re known for, I hope they’d tell you it’s how we make them feel. I want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, heard, and cared for. Building genuine relationships has always been just as important to me as delivering beautiful results.
What I’m most proud of is building a business with heart. There were times I wasn’t sure how everything would come together, but I kept believing in my vision and continued investing in myself and my business.

What sets us apart is that we truly care. We take our time, we listen, and we never rush the experience. I want every client to leave feeling better than when they arrived. That’s the kind of business I’ve always wanted to build, and it’s the standard I continue to hold myself and my team to every single day.

As I look ahead, I’m excited to keep growing, mentoring other beauty professionals, and creating even more opportunities through education. If I can help someone feel more confident or inspire another woman to believe in herself enough to chase her dreams, then I know I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do

What does success mean to you?
Success means something very different to me today than it did when I first started. In the beginning, I thought success was measured by how busy I was or how much money the business made. While those things are important, I’ve learned they’re only part of the picture.

Today, success is waking up every day knowing I’m doing work that I genuinely love. It’s seeing a client leave feeling more confident than when they walked in. It’s watching someone on my team grow in their career, reach their goals, and believe in themselves. It’s knowing that the business I built is making a positive impact on the people who walk through our doors.

Success is also having the courage to keep going through challenges. Every setback has taught me something and made me a better business owner and a stronger person. I’m proud that I didn’t give up when things became difficult.
