Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Lloyd.

Hi Breanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey with photography began in my church, where I first picked up a camera to serve and document worship, events, and the people around me. What started as a way to serve my community quickly became a passion for capturing genuine moments and meaningful connections.

As I continued learning and investing in my craft, that passion grew into Selah Photo Co. Over the years, I’ve refined my style through education and hands-on experience, discovering that the most meaningful photographs aren’t perfectly posed, they’re the real, unscripted moments that tell a story.

Today, I specialize in weddings and the seasons of life that follow, creating timeless, heartfelt images that allow people to relive some of the most important moments of their lives. It’s an incredible honor to preserve memories that families will treasure for generations, and I’m grateful that what began as serving my church has grown into a career I truly love.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve definitely had my share of challenges. Like many small business owners, building a photography business meant wearing every hat—photographer, marketer, editor, accountant, and customer service all at once. There were seasons of self-doubt, slow bookings, and learning through trial and error. I also had to learn that running a successful business takes much more than taking beautiful photos—it requires systems, education, and a willingness to keep growing.

One of the biggest lessons has been trusting the process. Every challenge pushed me to refine my craft, invest in my education, and build a business that truly serves my clients. Looking back, I’m grateful for those obstacles because they’ve shaped both the photographer and the business owner I am today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in wedding photography with a documentary approach, creating timeless images that feel as genuine as the moments themselves. While I also photograph couples, families, and motherhood, weddings are at the heart of what I do because they allow me to preserve one of life’s most meaningful stories from beginning to end.

I’m known for helping my couples feel comfortable in front of the camera, blending candid moments with gentle direction when it’s needed. My goal is to create photographs that are both beautiful and deeply personal—images that transport you back to exactly how your wedding day felt.

What sets me apart is my commitment to serving my clients well beyond simply delivering a gallery. I believe every couple deserves an experience that leaves them feeling cared for, celebrated, and fully present on their wedding day. From the first inquiry to the final gallery delivery, I strive to make the entire process seamless and enjoyable.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients and the trust they place in me to document such important moments in their lives. Knowing that the photographs I create will become family heirlooms passed down for generations is something I never take lightly, and it’s the reason I love what I do.
