Hidden Gems: Meet Rasheda Mills of Credit Remedi/ Meet Ally AI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rasheda Mills.

Hi Rasheda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always believed in creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. I spent over 12 years building a successful hospitality business that generated six figures, and while it was financially rewarding, I eventually felt God leading me toward something with greater impact. Walking away from a business I’d spent years building was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but I knew I was being called to build something bigger than myself.

That decision led me to found Credit Remedi, a financial technology company focused on helping consumers build stronger financial futures through credit education, strategy, and AI-powered solutions. I entered the tech space without a technical background, which meant learning an entirely new industry, working alongside developers, and turning everyday financial challenges into technology that empowers people.

Along the way, I’ve also raised my son as a single mother. While that was never my identity, it became one of my greatest motivations. It taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of building something that creates generational opportunities.

Today, my passion is using technology, education, and innovation to make financial empowerment more accessible. Looking back, every pivot—from entrepreneurship to fintech—has prepared me for the work I’m doing now. My journey has taught me that success isn’t about having the perfect path; it’s about having the courage to keep building, keep learning, and trust your purpose even when the outcome isn’t clear.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was making the decision to walk away from a successful business that had supported me for over a decade. From the outside, it probably didn’t make sense, but I knew I was being called to build something with greater impact. Starting over required a completely different mindset and a willingness to embrace uncertainty.

Another challenge has been building a technology company without a technical background. I’ve had to learn an entirely new industry, communicate my vision to developers, and navigate the constant iteration that comes with building software. There have been setbacks, revisions, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path, but each challenge taught me to become a better leader and problem solver.

On a personal level, raising my son as a single mother taught me resilience, discipline, and how to keep moving forward even when things felt difficult. Those experiences shaped the way I lead my business today.

Looking back, I realize every obstacle prepared me for where I am now. They’ve strengthened my faith, taught me to embrace change, and reminded me that some of the biggest opportunities come from having the courage to start over.

As you know, we’re big fans of Credit Remedi/ Meet Ally AI. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Credit Remedi was built to bridge the gap between financial education and technology. While many people know us for helping consumers improve their credit, our mission has always been much bigger than credit repair. We’re building technology that empowers people to better understand their credit, navigate the consumer reporting system, and make informed financial decisions.

One of the innovations I’m most proud of is Meet Ally AI, our AI-powered credit assistant. I wanted to create a solution that gives people access to personalized credit guidance without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated by the process. My goal has always been to make financial education more accessible, affordable, and available on demand.

What sets Credit Remedi apart is that everything we build is rooted in real consumer experiences. Before entering the tech space, I spent years working directly with clients, so I understand the frustrations people face when trying to improve their financial health. That firsthand experience allows us to build solutions that solve real problems instead of simply adding more technology.

Beyond our products, I’m proud that we’ve helped thousands of consumers take control of their financial futures while continuing to educate millions through social media, speaking engagements, and community partnerships. As we continue to grow, my vision is to build technology that expands access to financial empowerment and helps close the knowledge gap that has prevented so many people from building generational wealth.

My faith is the foundation of everything I do, so reading the Bible has become one of the most impactful resources in both my personal life and as a leader. It helps me stay grounded, make decisions with integrity, and maintain perspective through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

I’m also an avid learner and regularly listen to podcasts centered around entrepreneurship, technology, AI, personal development, and financial literacy. I enjoy learning from founders and innovators who challenge the way I think and build.
